Excellent mid range hotel. The front staff, housekeepers and servers all great. Two pools, one being refurbished, good breakfast as part of the price. Nice gym and on site massage personal. Really can’t say enough, I’ve stayed here twice now. Perfect location and solid clean rooms.

The breakfast buffet is out of this world. The pools are spotless, the staff is beyond helpful, the room was clean, nice and the bed was not hard as a rock like most places I have stayed at, in fact it was down right comfy. I have stayed here twice before and it seems it only gets better. Thank you and the staff!!!

You can’t beat the location, the hotel is still value for money, they try to update many things as the hotel get older But one thing they should change immediately is the trowels in the room, they are so old dirty and worn out years ago

Good and clean hotel. Nice staff. But there was a lot of noise due to a renovation of their restaurant. They start working at 09.45 and the sound is terrible. The breakfast was ok, but not very special. They should offer pancakes and also a lot more of cake and bread and cheese etc. The cleaning is good, but only one toilet roll a day is not much.

Disappointed

Booked what was advertised as a Luxury room, paying the higher rate, the room was tired, no walk in shower, no plugs at the side of the bed, except one for the lamp. Also, I was quoted £100 cheaper when I booked the room several months before, when I paid at reception, how was it £100 more expensive? the exchange rate can of course fluctuate, but I have cheched the rates on both dates and it did change by a few Baht? Either Hotels got it badly wrong or the Hotel. The Hotel shrugged their shoulders. Be careful when booking and getting a GBP quote, you might get a nasty suprise. Also. the breakfast was excellent upto the point where one morning, my niece cut into a grilled tomato and discovered maggots, allbeit, cooked. We raised this with the staff but they just shrugged it off, no apology or follow up.

Areca lodge is in a prime location for night-life. Staff were nice. Breakfast is now in an area that doesn't have air-conditioning, so that was disappointing. Pools are great. Maid service is great. The GYM.......is terrible because of the air-conditioning that doesnt work and the lack of fans to keep you cooler when working out. I asked the lady in the massage room if i can use her fan as the air-conditioning in the massage area was cold and she said NO. After raising the issue with a manager 1 fan was brought in. Hardly enough. Overall a pleasant stay and i would stay there again but i will just join a nearby gym

In spite of being right in the middle of the fun zone, the rooms and property itself are a calm, quiet oasis. Kind and professional staff, great communication at checkin, and easy transportation.
