Herunter gekommenes Hotel

Dieses Hotel war mit 5 Sternen angegeben. Es ist mir völlig schleierhaft wie man zu so einer Bewertung kommen kann. Die Zimmer bzw. das Mobiliar sind abgenutzt. Die Dusche war undicht, so das die Toilette nach dem Duschen inmitten einer Wasserlache stand. Die Lobby und die Gänge sind dunkel gestrichen und so sieht alles düster aus. Der Frühstücksservice war schlecht. Säfte u. ä. wurden erst nach geraumer Zeit wieder aufgefüllt. Den Kaffee/Tee sollte man sich selber holen von der gegenüberliegenden Ecke des Büffets, quer durchs Restaurant. Z.B. die angebotene Kürbis-Suppe war eine Instant-Tütensuppe. Der Pool wurde nicht von Blättern und allen möglichen anderen Dingen die im Wasser schwammen gesäubert. Der Strandabschnitt direkt vor dem Hotel war gesäubert, aber 100m weiter rechts war alles total vermüllt. Sehr viele Hunde am Strand, von denen man beim Joggen gern mal angesprungen und angebellt wurde. Letztendlich hat das Joggen im Müll sowieso keinen Spaß gemacht. Der "Golfplatz" war nicht zu benutzen; völlig ungepflegt. Keine Löcher geschweige denn Grüns zu erkennen.

Couldn't Love This Place More

We loved Dor-Shada Resort. It is south of Pattaya where the nicer beaches and cleaner water begins. The grounds are gorgeous. Great facility for kids with a magnificent pool and playground areas for bigger kids and toddler both. The beach is clean and pleasant. The food is good and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Lots of choices. Can't believe others have dissed it. Goodness. The rooms are a very nice size and, although some of the furniture might be a little dated, it is all comfortable and functional. Lots of nice things like in-room coffee & tea, refrigerator, etc. But the staff and management are the real treasure. They are pleasant, helpful and professional in every respect. They remain available but are never hoverig right over you. The staff training is excellent and very apparently a focus of the resort. Everyone was so kind, helpful and accommodating. I had a minor medical issue there that I considered to be more an act of God than an issue with the hotel, but they accepted responsibility and went way beyond what was necessary to make sure I was taken care of and appreciated as a guest. I cannot say enough good things about the management and staff at Dor-Shada. It is an excellent place for families. You would never know you were next door to Pattaya. Keep up the good work, guys. We appreciated your client-centered orientation and will visit again. You run a great place!

Nice beach Hotel. Bit far away from everything

Beach is nice but a lot of people from other Hotels are using the Hotels private beach. Not a lot of drinks (no diet Coke, not even all drinks listed in menue) are available at the beach Restaurant. Unfortunately no free Shuttle to Pattaya. To go by Taxi is very expensive (600B)!!! This is nearly the same as you pay for a private Taxi to BKK!

A couple of days out of Bangkok

Nice safe place to stay if you want to get out of Bangkok for a couple of days. However along the Beach there is a lot of garbage but unfortunately this is quite common for Thailand.

Amazing grounds but....:.

Was very impressed with the architecture, landscaping, and pool. But, finding staff to provide service at bar, restaurant was difficult. Place felt like a ghost town. Took over half hour in restaurant to get a cocktail that I was unable to choke down. The food was mediocre at best and didn't compare to roadside venues at five times the cost. One person working check in. One person working check out. Coffee pot in room broken. Bed comfortable but pillows were like logs and both my wife and I had to use decorative throw pillows as substitute. Wireless was completely useless. Pool was amazing but disappointed that the poolside bar closes at 6:00 pm.

Nice pool and beach

Great place to relax. Staff were exceptionally wonderful especially a lady at the Front Office called Bee. She attended to issues immediately without hesitation. Only setback was the food in the restaurant. It needs a lot of improvement in terms of taste. There was only 1 restaurant onsite so it has to provide better tasting food. Even breakfast was just okay. Spread was good but just not up to a 4 or 5 star hotel standard. Other than this, everything else was great.

Looking for quiet place in Pattaya

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Very quiet and comfortable. There is a building on constructing next door and working till night. Very relaxing and comfortable, but too many mosquito and bugs at night, itchy.
