"Bonnieux is a great base for exploring the area. The property is accessed by 53 uneven steps down from the street which was challenging with luggage. These steps and the 35 up into town kept is fit and able to enjoy great food and wine without gaining a pound. The cottage is charming and the views of the Luberon are beautiful. We enjoyed many late afternoons outdoors relaxing and reading "

"Our visit included myself who has been to the Luberon and Goult many times and people who have never been there. Everybody had a great time we stayed between seven and 10 days. Some people came for seven days some of us stayed for 10 days, the house, the location and even the weather we’re all quite perfect although the weather, in early October, was a little cold for going in the pool, it was ideal. The house is old. It has a good bit of charm and is large with large rooms, it has nice entertaining space, including a well stocked kitchen that is easy to cook in and have your breakfast in. There is a nice dining room and a large living room. There are basically four bedrooms and an additional room that could be slept in. The bathrooms are not the greatest and there’s one large full bathroom on the second floor and a toilet on the ground floor. Some of the rooms have showers and sinks and there’s a second full bathroom in a small house by pool, it did work OK for seven adults. Some of the beds were soft some were more firm and better to sleep in. Bernice the house owner was very kind and responsive on the phone and our issues like a broken coffee maker where handled very expediently. I think everybody was sad to leave and would go back in a second and very much miss our visit to Goult. "

"We were looking for a hilltop Luberon village in which to celebrate a special birthday and we were not disappointed with Pierre's Gite in St Martin de Castillon. The Gite is situated in the heart of St Martin, within easy 2 minute walking distance from a carpark. The Gite is over 3-4 levels with each area revealing an eclectic range of furnishing, sculptures and art works in what is obviously a well loved and respected family home. All of the rooms were excellent with well appointed bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge, but the rooftop terrace provided an amazing place to sit, drink, eat and simply gaze out over the beautiful valley vista. There is a well stocked local store with everything you would need, and there are major supermarkets in Apt, a 20 minute drive away. The local bar serves great beer and wines and has pizzas available a few nights a week. It's a great place to sit drink and fraternise with the locals.The town itself is fascinating to walk through but it also offers access to the vast number of other local hilltop villages. You would be hard pressed to visit them all! The only down side was that the instructions given to us by BookaBatch were out of date and did not tell us how to access the Gite. However, a quick phone call to Pierre had everything sorted very quickly. This problem was not Pierre's fault, but it might pay to check the date stamp on the access instructions!"

"The estate and hotel is BEAUTIFUL. Best pools of my life. Stunning Spa is included. Front desk / concierge was incredible. The breakfast wasn’t good enough for a 5 star hotel - Was something I’d expect in a 3 star - In particular the hot food. Continental style food was fine. The shower drain was partially clogged and the bathroom fan made strange noises. "
