Welcome to your peaceful retreat in Prospect Hill, NC. This rustic lakefront cottage is tucked away on a private reservoir near Hyco Lake & is accessible only to homeowners & their guests, offering unmatched tranquility & some of the best fishing in the region. This home is surrounded by mature trees with a wide-open grassy yard that leads to the water’s edge. Enjoy quiet mornings with coffee on the porch, long kayak paddles under the sun, & s’mores by the fire at night. This cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home sleeps 5–6 guests and is the ideal setting for reconnecting with nature, or simply relaxing in total privacy. • Primary Bedroom: King bed for ultimate comfort • Second Bedroom: Twin bunk bed + separate twin bed • Loft Area: Full-size futon and workspace with desk The interior features warm floor-to-ceiling wood paneling that creates a welcoming, rustic feel, like your very own cottage in the woods. The open-concept layout connects a well-equipped kitchen (oven, stove, full fridge) with a comfortable living area, complete with a smart TV and electric fireplace for cozy nights in. 🌅 Outdoor Perks: Step outside to a true nature escape: • Private kayaks (2 single person fishing kayaks) to explore the quiet reservoir • Fire pit area and Adirondack chairs for stargazing • Hammock that can be strung between the trees for lazy afternoons • Covered front porch with seating and stunning lake views ✨ Amenities: • Smart lock for easy check-in • Washer + dryer • Board games, cards, and books for all ages • High-speed WiFi and a desk for remote work • Streaming-capable smart TV (use your own logins) • Provided essentials: hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, towels, and linens. Please note that firewood is not provided, please bring some with you! You will have full access of the property, besides the locked supplies closet. I will provide you with everything you need to know to have an enjoyable stay and am always a message or phone call away should you have any additional questions :)

Check in process was extremely easy. Host was very friendly and very responsive. House was fully equipped with everything needed in the kitchen. Would have liked a dresser or luggage holder to help keep bags off floor but the room was big and bed was comfy. At night bugs were too bad to sit out on the porch. Views of lake are worth it.
