"My wife Kim and I from Chicago absolutely loved our 4-night stay at this amazing, refurbished train caboose!! Wow! We love Saluda and have stayed at cabins in the woods, but this was a special experience for us as we celebrated our daughter's equestrian competitions at nearby Tryon International Equestrian Center. This is a great location in historic Saluda as you can walk everywhere. The caboose has amazing amenities and is the perfect combination of historic and modern. This property has everything you need inside the fully-stocked kitchen for stay-at-home meals, BBQ grill, gas fireplace outside on rooftop deck, lots of seating on lower level front deck, a gorgeous bathroom, a huge, comfortable bed, more privacy than expected both inside and outside the caboose, a firepit out back with tons of privacy, and just an overall top-notch experience! We didn't bring our dog but he would have loved the environment and experience, too!! We could not be happier and more pleased with the whole experience!! You'll love it, too!!! It's so easy to get from the caboose to everything this entire area offers! The outfitters next door are the nicest and most accommodating human beings ever!! Great neighbors! We will be back!!! All aboard!!! My late grandfather was also a brakeman on a caboose of a major railroad in Chicago, so this experience was extra special. Our hosts were very communicative via text and email, too. They even provided souvenir glasses and a wonderful bottle of local wine."

"The property was a little tricky to find, but absolutely stunning! Everything was so clean, fully stocked pantry with all the needed spices and things. The river and waterfalls were so relaxing and fun to walk around. The best part was the hot tub in the evening, a little over chlorinated but at least it was clean!! We would love to stay here again in the future! "

"What a beautiful getaway! Love the location, seculed and beautiful. Only a few minutes from downtown. The mountain roads can be intimidating, but give it a little gas and you'll be fine. The Saluda grade is right there if you are into railroad history. The cabin is charming and quaint. It's perfect for relaxing and the decks are great for reading a book. Everything you might need is there."
