We had a really disappointing stay at Le Cliff. After having friends recommend the next door accommodation Dreamsea which was booked out, we booked Le Cliff. It’s a difficult place to access with all the stairs which we understood before arriving but it was a bit concerning to receiver a full on safety warning and discouragement to come if you don’t have the adequate fitness level AFTER we had booked (non refundable).
The room has aircon and a wonderful view, however was not as nice as our friends at Dreamsea for the value (we paid a lot more). The room was never serviced (cleaned) which is a standard service in Bali even at cheaper accomodation, and also essential when you can’t flash toilet paper. There is also no restaurant at the hotel, only next door which charges high prices for non-guests (aka Le cliff guests).
The main concern was the construction zone at the hotel which meant you were constantly walking on precarious steps alongside sharp objects or pieces of wood. We also found it really disconcerting to have the workers sitting around outside of our room and staring at us and we came and went.
All in all, it was just really dissatisfying considering how much Le cliff is charging for such a sub par experience. I would recommend a temporary discount for the construction period and to improve your customer service in your team.
