“We have just returned from a couple of nights at Brewers Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and bigger than it seems from the photos. Foolow is convenient access to some lovely areas and walks in the Peak District, and just a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage is the local pub that does fabulous food and has very friendly staff. Do take a torch for the walk there and back on darker nights though!! All in all, a fantastic stay and we would……

“What an absolute little slice of paradise! G was a fantastic host making sure we got to our field alright and showed us how everything worked before leaving us too it. We had the most relaxing night looking out at hills by the fire and the hot tub and sauna were an absolute luxury. We were even surprised with how warm the tent got, it was super cosy during the overnight rainstorm and I'm already thinking of when we can get back there already! “Property said pet friendly but when you got there said no dogs upstairs, not good when you have a dog with separation anxiety. Didn't find out until che k in details came through that there was no parking on the street the house is on. House was dirty. Tried to use hoover, it was totally blocked and not usable, had a broom but no dustpan so couldn't even do any cleaning of floors while there.”

“Loved Torr Top Place! As a solo older lady who wanted to visit Manchester’s Christmas markets, this was a perfect base. The kitchen was well equipped, sitting room cozy, bathroom modern, and everything immaculate. Uber transport was readily available and Sainsbury’s (local grocer) was a short walk away. I highly recommend Torr Top Place!”

“The property is very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The facilities are excellent. We would have liked more shelving in the bathroom for our toiletries and we thought the shower mat looked a bit grimy.The outdoor space was useful for our grandson to run around in. We thought there could have been more toilet rolls. We would definitey return here in the future when we visit our family in Halifax!”

“An excellent property, very homely, cosy and welcoming. Would definitely return. Found laundry basket, spare mattress covers and oven gloves in main bedroom. Not a great problem at all, but think these items were inadvertently left at the changeover clean. But this is not an important criticism - the property was wonderful.”

Things could be improved if they had the following, welcome pack giving WiFi details etc, better equipped kitchen I.e tea towel, bin and more crockery, bathroom could do with bath mat and bedroom could do with bedside cabinet with bedside lamp ”
