"We stayed here for the week while our son was at NROTC week and move in at PSU. This place was in a prime location. We loved the restaurant there, it was very good and we looked forward to eating there more than a few times. Every time we went elsewhere we always thought we were better off at the hotel's restaurant. It's a beautiful location and we were able to sit outside and inside. The golf course is very nice and my husband and our son were able to go driving and play a game of 9 holes. The outdoor pool is also very nice and right below the restaurant area. Overall we were very satisfied and pleased with the room and the hotel. the only thing that was a little disapointing was that it did not have an elevator so having the room on the upper floor made it just a little difficult to bring up the bags. but oerall that did not bring down my thoughts of the hotel itself. I would have loved to booked this hotel for the next home game but after looking the prices were more than tripled and it was way out of our range. When we decide to visit again when it's not a home game or a popular weekend then we will be sure to book it there again."
Ramada by Wyndham State College Hotel & Conference Center
10/10 Excellent
"It’s quiet every time I stay here! The indoor and outdoor pools are one of the main reasons I stay here! And the hot tub too! The breakfast is also a plus! "
Comfort Suites near Penn State - State College, PA
10/10 Excellent
"We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving to such a welcoming, festive & professionally run spot on this past game weekend. Our first time at the Comfort Suites but definitely not our last. Reviews have been excellent which is why we booked initially. Nice to walk into a great experience for ourselves & I can echo the great reviews. Everything from the parking, location, staff, amenities, offerings, room size, cleanliness to name a few. The halls are nice & wide for hauling luggage & gear, the beds were very comfortable & although they didn’t provide daily housekeeping unless requested, they took our trash out & refreshed all towels. The indoor pool looked fun & inviting although our time was allocated to game weekend on campus. They had a welcome reception upon our arrival on Friday evening + a full breakfast each morning. We were given a welcome gift at check in & they had items such as a shower cap available at the front desk. I’ve stayed in more “high brow” spots in State College that couldn’t offer mouthwash, shower caps or any essentials so this was another plus for the Comfort Suites. The nightly price was fair as far as game weekends go especially with the nice extras of the welcome reception, welcome lobby PSU decor & daily breakfast. Thank you for a great stay & we look forward to returning. "
