"We stayed in one of the glamping tents. The tent was spacious and comfortable. Potable water was nearby. Glamping obviously means there's no bathroom included in the tent. We had a port-o-potty nearby that was clean. The regular toilet and shower facilities were also close but not close enough to warrant a middle of the night walk to pee, so the port-o-potty had to do. Staff was efficient, but not overly friendly. The property was quiet and clean. Lake access is... weird? We couldn't find a sandy beach on the property but maybe we just missed it. We found one a few KMs away, but it was crowded. I think that's what felt the most like it was missing- clearly explained and easy access to the lake. After all that's why we chose this spot."

"Small basic and clean accommodation for a short stay. Would recommend but not directly on the lake as shown in property listing…can get a glimpse from outdoor deck but access to a beautiful walking path just a few steps away."

"Our stay at the house had a few issues that affected the overall experience. The host was responsive and did communicate with us, and they were willing to adjust the check-in time, which we appreciated. However, it was only after we enquired about check-in that we were informed the dishwasher was leaking and wouldn’t be fixed until the following week. This was disappointing, as it’s something we would have preferred to know in advance.The kitchen also wasn’t equipped with the quality cookware that was mentioned in the listing, which made preparing meals more difficult than expected. In addition, on the morning of our checkout, the gardening service arrived and began mowing the lawns before we had even left( as this was clearly not done before checking in), which felt intrusive and rushed.Overall, while the host was communicative, the maintenance issues and lack of amenities meant the stay didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the listing."

"A beautifully-appointed flat with an extremely comfortable living room, bedroom and kitchen. The doors open to a deck and a lovely garden, with mountains in the background. "

"Everything was good. Only concern we had and I didn't give 5 star was the cleaning supplies or toilet rolls were very limited and was not enough for 2 days."

"We enjoyed our 5 day stay in this cute, cozy bach! We had everything we needed for cooking, the bedding was very comfortable and we all slept well here. Beautiful scenery can be viewed right outside every window. The hosts were responsive, although we had no issues come up. We even had a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers on arrival. The lavender and honeysuckle bushes lining the entrance were an added fragrant treat. "

"Amazing accomodation at Lake Hawea. House was immaculate and had all you need for a lakeside holiday. Enjoyed the outdoor fire and hot tube after being out on the lake. "
