Nice Place

Overall a very good experience. The pool, community room and fitness areas were First Class! We felt safe and the location was terrific. We were there for almost two months, and the only down sides were a noisy neighbor (a few nights), the elevator smelled like a strong cleaning solution and the neighbors below smoked on their patio, which sometimes made our room smell like smoke.

All contact with checking in excellent. I will speak about the house whole. Seriously. Patio chairs absolutely need to be replaced. Living room the couch needs to be cleaned. The rug under the coffee table is filthy. We demanded new bathroom rugs. The sheets did not fit. One set had organic stains. We requested new frying pans. We like this condo complex. Unit 323 is in absolutely need of updating

First of all, your rating category has nothing lower than Good. Compliments to Donna Davis, Community Concierge--always very pleasant and helpful answering questions & concerns in a very timely manner. For example: Contacted (by email and voice message) Elite Rental Team regarding elevator in our building being out on a Sunday evening and did not hear back until next day. Reached out to Donna and she replied within 15 minutes and had the repair taken care of within an hour. Donna is the best employee at The Cays and is truly an asset there. Concerns & Dissatisfactions: 1. Check in was too fast and did not include enough information about amenities and how to operate things like fire tables, grills, etc. 2. Minimally furnished unit: We have rented many homes in many cities through VRBO and this property is definitely the least furnished unit we have stayed in. For example, only 4 cups, 4 plates, 4 bowls, etc. No plastic glassware to take to pool area. No multi purpose cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, wipes, etc. No pool/beach towels, only 2 hand towels for 2 bathrooms, sheets should be updated (getting very thin and one fitted sheet is ripped). 3. Complex amenities: TV's in gym never worked properly, jumped between 3-4 stations constantly; when we reported it, we were always told that they were having trouble with their satellite. Fire tables worked inconsistently. Spa/hot tub had to be repaired 3 times in first 2 weeks we were there for not being hot. 4. Noise level: Felt like we were staying in a hotel; could hear people above us walking, moving things, yelling at each other, kids running at times. 5. Construction: We were never informed before renting/arriving that there was construction of a new building right out our balcony and bedroom window from 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. SIX DAYS A WEEK! Could not enjoy balcony and having windows open during the day. When we contacted the Elite Rental Team, we were told they had no other units to move us to and that we could find somewhere else to rent for the rest of the month but we would be forgoing the total we paid to rent at The Cays. DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? Why would someone do that.
