Amatara has real charm and plenty to offer if you're willing to look past a few rough edges. The activities and things to do on-site are genuinely enjoyable — a highlight of the stay that keeps you engaged and gives the property a lot of personality.
The staff truly stand out. They are warm, attentive, and go above and beyond to be helpful — especially when it comes to navigating the location. The estate isn't in the most convenient spot, but the team is proactive and supportive in making sure you're taken care of and pointed in the right direction, which goes a long way.
That said, the property's condition leaves something to be desired. For the price point and the promise of the brand, the overall upkeep could be significantly better. Cleanliness, in particular, fell short of expectations — it's something that really should be a baseline at a property like this, and it was noticeably lacking in places.
The location is ideal if you're looking serenity, calm,l and relaxation.
Overall: A stay at Amatara Barl Estate is a mixed experience. The great staff and fun activities create genuinely good memories, but the property needs to invest more seriously in maintenance and cleanliness to live up to its potential.
