Perfekt hotell i sentrum av Piatra
Central Plaza Hotel fylte våre forventninger til et slikt hotell. Vi bodde der i 11 netter i august 2013. Hotellet er meget godt plassert midt i sentrum av byen med alt en trenger rett rundt hjørnet. Hotellet er godt vedlikeholdt og servicen helt ok. Det meste av personalet komuniserte greit på engelsk som slett ikke er vanlig på mange rumenske hoteller. To moderne litt underdimensjonerte heiser fungerte stort sett greit med unntak av rushtiden akkurat ved frokost og utsjekking. Rommet, Premier Room, var ganske romslig sammenlignet med mange andre hoteller. Vi hadde rom i 12te etasje og hadde flott utsikt over sentrum. Rommet hadde grei stor LCD-TV. Flott stor king-size seng, men litt hard madrass for vesteuropeisk norm. Det var flere stikkkontakter behagelig plassert i rommet. Safen på rommet var stor nok for en middels laptop.Wi-Fi var stabil og rask hele tiden. AC slet med å få romtemperaturen på dagtid under 26 grader, men så var da også utetemperaturen godt over 30 og sola stekte rett på rommets store vinduer. Men siden utetemperaturen om natta er godt under 20 grader får man alikevel en grei nattsøvn ved å åpne vinduene. Badet var helt greit med en relativt stor dusjsone. Hver eneste dag var det 3 herlige og rene håndklær til hver beboer. Vi hørte svært lite støy inne på rommet med lukkede vinduer. Frokosten som ble servert var omfattende og veldig velsmakende. Det var morgenens høydepunkt!

Disappointing
I read that this was supposed to be the best place to stay in this town. If so, the others must be hideous. The room had no A/C, although my reservation said the room would be air conditioned. Thankfully, the weather did not get too hot during our stay. The bathroom smelled like a sewer, even though we were on the 8th floor. They must be really big on energy saving here. Motion detectors on the hallway lighting consistently shut off the lights before I could get my room key in the keyhole. The lobby was very dim, both day and night, as very few of the light bulbs in the chandeliers were functioning. The buffet breakfast was quite good, though, with a wide selection of things to choose from in an airy room.
