  • Maison de Pieusse is a 3 bedroom villa enjoying a stunning location about 2 km from the market town of Limoux. There are countryside views on all sides of the property but the setting although tranquil is close to amenities such as a large supermarket and bakeries less than 2 km away. Other facilities are found in Limoux and slightly further afield in Carcassonne where a visit to the medieval city is recommended. Further exploring opportunities abound including trips to Toulouse, the beach or up into the mountains whichever might take your fancy.
    The property itself is well equipped as a home from home. There are 3 bedrooms of which two contain double beds and the other twin beds . From the balcony off the Master Bedroom fabulous sunsets can be viewed while enjoying a glass of the local blanquette. Further outdoor relaxation is possible on the upper and lower terraces where alfresco dining under a moonlit sky adds to the enjoyment of a visit here. A covered verandah offers further seating in relaxed surroundings.
    Should the weather not be kind indoor relaxation is also on offer. The lounge has comfy seating in front of the TV or listening to music on the music tower. There is a conservatory and for breakfast or aperitifs the breakfast bar is most inviting. Formal dining is available with seating up to 8 and there is alternative dining facilities in the summer kitchen. In short plenty of opportunities to eat and drink and entertain guests.
    The main kitchen and summer kitchen are modern and the bathrooms although traditional french in character have been refurbished to add to the modern amenities. An abundance of wood gives a traditional feel to the house.
    The swimming pool is 9 metres by 4 metres with a uniform depth of 1.5 metres. It is essential to be able to swim to use this pool

Lovely well equipped villa

Lovely villa, I've never rented a property that was so well equipped. Beautiful pool and gardens. Lots of places to sit with a glass of wine. A shame the restaurant in the village is closed but beautiful surrounding countryside.

More spacious than the photos make it look!

We were there during a heatwave, so spent more time indoors than we might normally have. Air-conditioning and three sofas meant we were all suitably comfortable! Pool was lovely also.

Maison très agréable à proximité de Carcassonne

La maison est très agréable, bien située pour pouvoir rayonner aux alentours (Carcassonne à 20-25 min, châteaux cathares et abbayes). Il y a un centre commercial Leclerc à 5 min ce qui est très pratique pour faire les courses. La piscine dans le jardin est très agréable. La procédure d’arrivée était très claire et notre hôte Alison a été très disponible et réactive pour répondre à des questions (merci beaucoup Alison!)

Sehr erholsame Ferien

Das Haus war top und für uns sehr gut gelegen. Der Pool war super, sauber und gepflegt. Alison war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und half uns bei Bedarf. Auch Kevin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Für uns der perfekte und ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

Bon séjour agréable

Belle demeure accueillante et bien équipée. On a beaucoup apprécié la region (Carcassonne est pas loin). La maison est bien située et les commerces sont très proches tout en étant au calme. La piscine et les vélos plus la table de ping-pong nous ont permis de passer de tres bon moments en famille. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Excellent séjour à Pieusse. La maison est grande, très propre et très bien entretenue. Il ne manque rien. Les lits étaient faits à l'arrivée, les serviettes disponibles, une cuisine très bien équipée. La piscine est très agréable, sans vis à vis, et le jardin permet de profiter ou se protéger du soleil à tout moment de la journée. Des vélos sont à disposition. Vous disposez de livres, en anglais, best way to improve your English! Et des jeux de société. Instructions d'arrivée et de sorties parfaites.

Fabulous Holiday in a fantastic villa!

This was our second time staying at this villa and I gave a review previously in August 2019. We had been waiting 3 years to get back, but our stay was worth the wait! This is a great villa in a lovely location-quiet enough to have a truly relaxing and peaceful holiday, but very close to the nearest town with a selection of shops and restaurants in Limoux, and also very close to great supermarkets stocking everything you could need. Unlike our previous stay, the local restaurant/pizzeria- only a 5 minute walk away- was open this time, and both the food and the staff there were lovely. We have been doing villa holidays for over a decade and this is without doubt one of the best-equipped villas we have stayed in. There is fantastic space and storage and Alison provided a lovely selection of board games and books, as well as table tennis and bicycles. Anything you might need for a great holiday, you will find here! The medieval city of Carcassonne is only a 25 minute drive away, as are water activities, zip-line adventure activities and plenty more to keep the kids happy. The only small drawback this time was the later check-in time of 6pm, which meant a bit of a rush to the supermarket on Saturday evening before it closed, but it may be possible to arrive earlier and wait outside. All in all we had a great holiday, which really recharged our batteries and we fully expect to return in the future.

uitstekend verblijf in een rustige straat

Prima vakantiewoning. Ruim huis met 2 badkamers en 3 wc's. Huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. In de bijkeuken staat een tweede koel/vrieskast. Ruim zwembad die elke week gecontroleerd en schoongemaakt wordt. Airco in de woonkamer en in de hal naar 2 slaapkamers. In de slaapkamers stonden ventilatoren, maar in de periode dat wij hier waren geven deze niet voldoende koeling.

Très grande maison, 1ère fois que l'on louait une maison(on vit en appartement) très appréciable. Merci aux propriétaires de laisser une maison comme ça à des inconnus, en arrivant le dépaysement total, un magnifique jardin avec une belle piscine, certe très froide le temps n'était pas au rendez-vous, cette semaine de juillet (on avait cru voir que la piscine était chauffée, mais bon), le voisinage très calme et à quelques kilomètres des commerces.. Tt était parfait rien ne manque dans la maison..on a adoré.. Merci

Un très bon spot !

Une maison confortable à vivre, où la propriétaire met à disposition tout ce qu'il faut! Les quelques questions que j'ai eu ont été traitées rapidement et très sympathiquement. Une piscine très agréable dans un jardin, avec chaises longues, table et chaises, parasol de grande taille. La piscine est entretenue une fois par semaine. Limoux est très bien situé pour explorer la région, de la mer jusqu'aux châteaux cathares, en passant par Carcassonne et par des rivières propices au rafting. Nous avons passé 15 jours délicieux

Lovely, relaxing holiday just outside Limoux

We have just returned from a fantastic stay in this property. Maison de Pieusse is extremely spacious and well-equipped, with literally everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It is especially well equipped with bathroom facilities which is not always the case with villas in France. Pieusse itself is a very pretty and tranquil village and the villa was quiet and private, while still being just a short drive from the nearest supermarket and the town of Limoux itself. The local cafe/restaurant was unfortunately closed for August, during our stay, but there is a lovely selection of places to eat out in Limoux itself. The pool is impressive and there were various places outside to dine or to just relax. We particularly loved the sun-trap balcony outside the master bedroom! The board games and table tennis were also a hit with with our 2 children when they wanted a break from the sun. Its location also means you are just a 20 minute drive from Carcassonne and many local sights and landmarks. All in all, we found we that completely relaxed here and we would not hesitate to recommend this villa and very much hope to return in the future.

A lovely house

We had a great stay in this property. It is in excellent condition, is well equipped, and has a lovely garden and pool. The house is well placed in a smart village with its own bar/cafe. There are excellent supermarkets a very short drive away which stock everything you'll need. All in all a great place, I'm sure we will return.

Summer Holiday with the family

Had a wonderful time at the villa which is completely equipped with every possible utensil you could imagine. We stayed there with my son and his two teenage daughters and we loved the fact that our bedroom and separate lounge were completely separate from my son's quarters. The area was quiet and the swimming pool was very impressive especially at night. We thought the property might be a little too remote but it's only a cycle ride to a number of supermarkets and the town of Limoux offers a wide range of shops and restaurants. A perfect place to spend your summer holidays!

Spacious holiday house with beautiful pool under the Southern French sun

We spent a wonderful holiday under the French sun in this spacious and well equipped house, visiting medieval sites in the neighbourhood and spending time near the big beautiful swimming pool. We enjoyed the rural environment, though shops and supermarkets were only a stone's throw away. This house offers anything to make a holiday succeed.

Super maison

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison: elle est grande, pratique, très moderne pour certains aspects (cuisine, mobiliers de jardin, lave linge, etc). Elle est très bien entretenue tout comme le materiel (vélos, table de Ping-Pong, etc.). Le jardin est spacieux et rempli d'arbres fruitiers. La piscine: les enfants l'ont adorée. Notre seul bémol: l'accueil qui fut bref et sans explication... Toutefois, Dave et Marjorie qui nous ont accueillis (en l'absence des propriétaires) étaient charmants, disponibles et serviables...
