"Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. I was hesitant about having carpet in the room as sometimes it can be dirty and smell musty but the room was actually really nice, except cabinet door the refrigerator was is coming off the hinge. Resort all around could use some updates, attention to detail but I would stay again. Bar had great cocktails but way understaffed, I bartended for 20 years and taking care of service bar, bar tables and the bar is way too much for one or two people. I overheard quite a few customers that were frustrated by the wait. Staff was very nice though and trying their best."

"Beautiful place, but so needs freshing up and management. Some very nice features but needs TLC. We were in the older historic part. No breakfast and pets were allowed in the Historic section."

"Very quaint hotel on the town square with shops and a restaurant. The hotel also had a small coffee / tea shop. The tea was excellent. I never had loose leaf tea anywhere and this was superior to any tea bag. Staff were friendly and the room were very clean. This is an older hotel with charm. Local artwork on the walls for sale. Next door is a great gem and mineral gallery that also carried dinosaur teeth and small bones and other fossils."

"I rented the two bedroom suite even though we only needed one room. It had a nice kitchen, a dining area, and was very roomy, I loved the simple decorating, it was just lovely. I loved the 50s feel including the turquoise porch way and the historic sign. the staff was very nice! and at this price was a bargain on top of that! close to down town also! I will definitely stay there again!"
