Fantastic stay in traditional french house

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Le Relais. The house was lovely, traditional French. we were a family party of 20, 9 children ranging from 5-16 and 11 adults. The house had plenty of space for us all, the communal areas e.g. kitchen, dining room, living room, and outside space were fantastic. Barbara, the owner was there to welcome us and give us any advice required. the pool area was lovely and a big hit with the children, as was the games room. Free Wi-Fi was also very popular with both children and adults alike. Nearby Aubeterre was lovely. It has a riverside beach for swimming, kayaking, with a reasonably priced café. we also visited Nabinaud (about 8 mins away) for the high ropes course, maze and another lovely beach. All in all, a fantastic family holiday destination that I would recommend visiting . Thank you Barbara.

Hormis la piscine qui a besoin d'un petit "rafraichissement" sejour top pour une famille. La maison est tres bien équipée et adapté pour des séjour famille. Estelle est au top séjour tres sympa.

We had a great week here. The house is well-equipped, and the pool is great — perfect for a group holiday. We left with plenty of happy memories. The only downside has been what happened afterwards. Two weeks on, we’re still dealing with a waste disposal fine we believe is unfair, with very unclear communication from the host. During the stay, the only issue raised with us was fixed straight away, and nothing more was mentioned. It’s a shame, because instead of just remembering the holiday, we’ve ended up discussing this when we get together. The place itself is fantastic and we’d have rated the stay higher if not for the post-holiday dispute.(Traduction automatique)Nous avons passé une excellente semaine ici. La maison est bien équipée et la piscine est superbe — parfaite pour des vacances en groupe. Nous sommes repartis avec beaucoup de bons souvenirs.Le seul point négatif concerne ce qui s’est passé après notre séjour. Deux semaines plus tard, nous devons encore gérer une amende pour la gestion des déchets que nous estimons injuste, avec une communication très peu claire de la part de l’hôte. Pendant le séjour, le seul problème évoqué avec nous a été réglé immédiatement, et rien d’autre n’a été mentionné. C’est dommage, car au lieu de simplement nous souvenir des bons moments, nous avons fini par parler de cette affaire lorsque nous nous retrouvons.Le lieu en lui-même est fantastique, et nous aurions attribué une meilleure note sans ce litige après le séjour.

Excellent séjour

Week end d’anniversaire avec famille et amis.Nous étions 25.Le gîte est immense et très bien équipé.Le jardin ainsi que la piscine sont très agréables et permettent d'accueillir tout le monde.L'accueil de la gérante et la disponibilité pour la préparation du séjour de la propriétaire sont parfait.Nous avons pu profitez de tout.Aubeterre qui n'est qu'à 7 km du gîte est un très beau.Excellent moment. Je recommande sans modération entre amis ou même en famille.

Fête de Pâques

Nous avons rassemblé nos enfants avec leur conjoint et nos petits enfants. La maison est un vrai labyrinthe, ce qui a permis d’oublier la tempête de pluie et de vent dehors!Les équipements sont parfaits pour une grande famille comme la nôtre : 14 adultes et 14 enfants très jeunes!

Lieu parfait pour réunion de famille ou entre amis

Lieu idéalement situé et équipé pour notre réunion de famille, cousinade-anniversaire. Même si le temps ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine, le reste des équipements intérieurs et extérieurs permettent de faire de nombreuses activités et moments de partage.

Nous étions 20 adultes et tout le monde a apprécié cette belle maison remplie d'histoires et pleine de charme. Le cadre est super, très beau jardin avec sa tonnelle, lieu très calme. Nous recommandons cette location.

We en famille

Malgré la météo capricieuse, nous avons passé un excellent we en famille dans un endroit très calme : logement très spacieux, on a apprécié l'équipement complet, la grande pièce de vie, le salon cosy à l'étage et la salle avec le billard. Le jardin est très agréable et la piscine sécurisée, on a pu déjeuner dehors - barbecue couvert très utile - et de rares courageux ont profité de la piscine. La proximité des commerces (environ 10/15 minutes) est également très apprécié et l'église souterraine d'Aubeterre-sur-Dronne nous a émerveillés.

Chaleureux et paisible

La communication avec s'est faite naturellement. Elle a toujours ete disponible et réactive dès notre réservation. Elle sest montrée accueillante et arrangeante (heure d’arrivée, de depart, indications etc...) La maison est fidèle aux indications de l'annonce et bénéficie de toutes les commodités pour adultes et enfants. En bref, un sejour hors du temps qui permet de se recentrer sur l'essentiel. Nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner.

Gîte magnifique

Nous avons passé un excellent weekend dans le gîte de Barbara à l'occasion d'un anniversaire entre amis ! Le lieu s'y prêtait à merveille, tant par le nombre de couchages, la beauté de l'endroit, le calme à proximité, la grande piscine et les jeux présents dans le gîte. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une météo exceptionnelle pour ce dernier weekend de septembre pour en profiter au maximum. Je recommande vivement cette location. Ludivine

Weekend Anniversaire Retrouvailles

On était 23 et tout le monde a apprécié la location pour des raisons différentes - cadre super, calm, maison pleine de charme avec des recoins pour discuter tranquillement les uns avec les autres, les noisettiers pour ramasser les noisettes...Nous n'avions pas d'enfants avec nous mais plein de jouets pour faire le bonheur des petits ! Propriétaire très accueillant et disponible en cas de besoin sans être intrusive. Weekend réussi.

Charmante maison

Wonderful multigenerational family holiday

We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping. Amazing towns and villages around, fields of sunflowers, kayaking, markets..... We all loved it, thanks Barbara !

Merveilleux week-end ensoleillé

Belle propriété au sein d'un village très calme. Maison bien entretenue avec de nombreuses chambres et couchages confortables laissant à chacun son intimité. En famille à Pillac !

Nous avons passé un merveilleux week-end de pâques dans ce gîte. Une maison historique, atypique et adaptée pour un grand groupe. Même si la piscine n'était pas chauffée en cette saison, nous avons pu en profiter (pour les plus courageux), et bronzer au soleil pour les autres. Je recommande cette adresse ! :) Les alentours du village de Pillac détiennent un patrimoine riche, des domaines et vignes ... Nous avons pu nous rendre au marché de Aubeterre-sur-Dronne et visiter un domaine pour y découvrir des orchidées sauvages et une production de Cognac et alcool VIVANT (Le Domaine Decroix) .
