Paradise Island!
This was our family's 2nd stay at Little Harvest Caye, and we're already planning our 3rd! Pictures and words don't do justice to the island, the accommodations and the amazing staff. We felt welcomed from the first minute, and our time flew by. The staff were unfailingly kind and thoughtful, our meals were impeccable, and we never got tired of the island's natural beauty. We passed our days with epic games of cornhole & bocce, swimming, lounging in the many comfortable seating areas, and just enjoying the 360-degree views. It's the trip of a lifetime, and we can't wait to come back!

Little harvest caye
We love love love this little island. I can’t say enough about the staff they are top notch!!! The only negative I have is the parent company does not provide necessary equipment or funds to make necessary repairs. The poor staff struggle no lawn mower, ping pong table put together with duct tape, refrigerator is in disrepair. The cart for luggage has a homemade wood tire on it.

Thank you for the 5 star review and so glad to hear you love the island and staff. We hope to see you and your group back as our guests on the island. As for the small items you mentioned that needed attention: LHC has special spongy grass that cannot be mowed by a mower. They do have a grass powered weed wacker for use on the small grassy area. The luggage cart wheel broke within the last couple of weeks and the staff had made a temporary fix to repair it until a new wheel arrives to them as has to be shipped from USA. To the staff’s credit and dedication they were able to improvise so the cart could be used until a new wheel arrives. The ping pong table broke during your stay and the staff put duct tap on it so your group could continue to use it. It is being properly repaired now. Both refrigerators are in perfect working order and are maintained and checked on a regular basis. There are crisper lids missing that are on order from the US. All repairs are made as quickly as possible once brought to the attention of management.

Amazing!
This was the best trip. We all were in agreement on the staff and the way they took care of us. Whatever we needed the provided. Everyone was so welcoming and kind we can’t help but love them. The island was always spotless and the sand raked. They food WAS amazing!!

Still feeling the afterglow of this amazing trip! Let's begin with Evelyn and Heidy, the amazing ladies who managed our reservation - from the start they made every step of the process easy and always followed-up in a timely manner. We had several special requests that they accommodated flawlessly and we really appreciate the amount of coordination it took to make this trip stress free and enjoyable from beginning to end. Once we got to the island we were greeted by the amazing staff - we are blown away by the level of service we received day in and day out. Let's start with Ernesto: every meal was executed perfectly, all special requests were handled with professionalism, and every dish he prepared was beyond delicious. We really want to thank him for all the love he put into everything! Up next is our girl Kendra - so wonderful! She took such great care of us and always had our rooms looking neat and tidy - she's such a hard worker and a lovely person. Next, we have to give a big shoutout to Jorge! Whatever we needed he was our man. Whether it was suggestions about which restaurants to go to or making pina coladas by the pool he was always ready for our next question or request. He really made us feel welcome! Lastly, our valiant ferrymen, Michael and Jazz! It would not have been the same trip without these two - we were always met with the same kindness whether it was 6am or 1am. They really took care of us and we can't thank them enough! You Really Can’t Imagine…
We read the reviews, we all thought it would be amazing…we had high expectations. Hell, we even decided to have our very simple, no frills wedding ceremony on the beach. We were not prepared… No matter what you read about the island, the staff, the beauty…YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY. Think the island is gorgeous…it’s better. Think the staff will be friendly and accommodating…they will be your family. Think the food will be great…it’s phenomenal. There is not an expectation that you could have that LHC will not exceed. This was the trip and wedding of a lifetime. We opted for no wedding package, and yet the staff insisted on making it special for us in every way. Decor made by their own hands, a special feast to meet the culture of our crowd, we even convinced them to take a little break dance with us for a bit. To Kendra, Oscar, Michael, Jose, and even Kempton who came over to help w the wedding feast…we love you. We appreciate everything you did for us and the love and passion with which you did it. Kendra…we’re waiting for you in San Diego whenever you’re ready for a visit. Special shout-out to Heidy who dealt with my Type-A, ultra planning self, every day for almost 6 months. None of it would have happened without you. To all you potential LHC’ers. Don’t hesitate. Get 12 of you together, split the cost, and go spend a week unlike anything you can imagine. Slice of heaven in Belize
Words cannot describe the perfection of LHC. Our family spent a week on the island, with ages ranging from 9 to 65. Every moment was sheer bliss. The views, the beautiful villas, the huge common area where we spent almost all of our time, the pool, the ocean etc. We did a couple of local excursions and almost daily trips to the mainland for ice cream, but mostly we wanted to just stay put on our island paradise. Michael, Jose, George & Kendra took incredible care of us, and they felt like family by the end of the week! Martha kept our villas squeaky clean and did extra laundry for our kids, and she couldn't have been nicer. We all agreed that this was the vacation of a lifetime--except that it is just too good to only do once in a lifetime, so we need to go back!

Gorgeous island - we had the best family vacation! We stayed for 7 nights with my family, my brother's family & our parents and had a wonderful trip. We were picked up directly from the LHC dock for all of our excursions which was extremely convenient. And we thoroughly enjoyed our bookings with Captain Jak's. We arranged family photos on the island, with the help of the office and hopefully those turn out well (have not received them back yet). We used the LHC boat daily to get to Placencia for additional groceries and to shop in the cute town stores. The golf cart was perfect for those errands! Our staff was amazing - friendly, helpful, generous and genuine. Our concierge/main point of contact throughout our stay often jumped in to make us drinks or to fix any issues we were experiencing, without even being asked. We experienced a few "hiccups" as the communication with the office prior to our trip proved inaccurate upon our arrival, but we were able to smooth out most of the misunderstandings. We did have several picky eaters as well as one vegetarian on the trip and food was tricky for those. Our picky eaters often resorted to making macaroni and cheese or PB&J themselves as the menu alterations were not followed. But for the majority of our group, the chef prepared amazing meals! Seriously impressive, gourmet food! The rooms were gorgeous and the bathrooms amazing. I love the outdoor shower most of all!!! We saw very few insects or "wild" animals, though we expected to, given the open-air environment of the island. The a/c worked perfectly for us at night and we were very comfortable in our rooms. The wifi was reliable, though a bit spotty at times. But we were on vacation so it rarely mattered (except during the Cowboys game on Thanksgiving Day!). The island dog, Coco, is delightful and helped us miss our own pets a bit less. He can be a bit feisty though, so do let the staff know if you prefer he not be around your group at certain times. The main entertainment area is beautiful and well appointed. We did bring our own board games as well as a portable speaker - which we used a lot while we were on the beach. However, we all enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables, as well as cornhole. There is limited seating around the TV so be prepared to sit on bean bags or to pull over a chair from the dining table. My parents rarely moved from the comfy hanging chairs though...

Girls trip for my 50th, incredible from day one! The staff was the best part of our vacation. Our food was exquisite, beyond 5 star! Jose went above and beyond helping the girls learn to catch bait to fish. Those girls had him moving all week. Jose and Arion helped all week with every request. Ernesto WOW that man can make/create any food dish AND with all fresh handmade ingredients!! George came last days and he had culinary skills as well! Cindy meet all our wants and needs, she rocks!! A truly special place and experience
We’ve traveled as a group for nearly a decade, and LHC ended up being a top notch fit for this group. The property itself was phenomenal and was everything we expected and more. Michael, Abel, Genesis and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Ernesto, the cook, deserves accolades and probably even some culinary awards. Never before on a 4 or 5 star resort have we eaten so well. Literally every single meal was both beautiful and delicious. The team seemed to have a second sense for when we needed anything, but also disappeared at the right times. Despite the islands size there was plenty for our group to do and keep ourselves entertained. We made a couple trips into town, had massages on site, an all day catamaran trip out to Laughing Bird Caye, and Covid testing on site on the way out—all expertly coordinated by the concierge and the LHC team. The cabins/rooms themselves were also top notch, very comfortable beds, nicely designed, along with open air bathrooms and showers in some.

From start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. The concierge was extremely helpful & guided us through the entire process. She accommodated any needs & changes, booked excursions & changed the domestic flight times with a simple text. The property was perfect. It accommodated four families that included five children all under the age of 5. Safe, clean & spacious. It’s perfectly set up for fun activities together and private space when needed. The only thing better than the property was the staff. Friendly & professional, good food & drinks, boat trips to Placentia upon request, they are what makes the entire experience Paradise.

Everything we hoped for and MORE!
Our stay on Little Harvest Caye was everything we imagined it would be and more. As with many people, this vacation was over two years in the making and we had very high expectations, and it met every one of of them. I don't know where to start... the staff are AMAZING! They catered to our every need and have such wonderful personalities. The food was outstanding. Oscar, the chef, is very talented. When they say he makes everything from scratch, they really mean it... scratch made pasta, bread for toast, buns for burgers, tortillas, syrup, fried jacks, salsas, etc. We were very impressed with EVERY meal we had. The rest of the crew (Able, Michael, Elden, and Cindy) were also amazing! The grounds are well kept and clean. The common area is an awesome place to hangout. Heidi from Gecko vacation is OUTSTANDING! She answered all our questions with pleasure and made sure everything we asked to do was planned out perfectly. This was a trip of a lifetime!! We are determined to rebook again in the near future and can hardly wait to go again!

Absolutely Amazing Place
I've meant to post this review for a while, and all I can say is this place is wonderful. Between the pristine island and surrounding waters, to the fantastic staff that caters to your every need, you'll be amazed. I can't say enough about the staff; they really made the trip what it was. Working with Talia and the team on booking and arrival was super simple. Once on the island, Chef Ernesto and sous chef Oscar cooked the most delectable meals (honestly, just fantastic...the best cooking I've had outside the states, and I enjoy high-end eateries), while Jose, along w/ Cindy and Abel, took care of everything else we needed. 8 months later and we're still talking about it to friends. In fact, it was so memorable we have already booked to go again in Early 2022 and are anxiously awaiting our trip. Some other things to mention, although COVID was rampant (and still is), it's effortless to get there and back from the states. Take a PCR before you go, bring the results to get into Belize, and they will book someone to test on the island (or you can go into town) for your way home. We had nurses come to the island, and that worked great! Another thing, we're big wine and bourbon fans, so we brought a bunch. I'm not sure that's worth the hassle as they have duty-free shops with wine, booze, and cigars, once you arrive in Belize (There are also shops and bars in town that have booze, although they are more costly.) Other than that, if you enjoy fishing, I would recommend bringing some gear (We did and caught quite a few), and unless you get stir crazy, don't plan on needing to go into town often. We thought we might want to try different food, but you'd be a fool to waste time and money eating out with their cooking.

Vacation of a Lifetime!
This island vacation is the most amazing experience. Our hosts are very quick to respond, so pleasant to communicate with and so thorough with their information. Renting this island gives your group access to a fabulous concierge who helps coordinate activities, ensure menu meets everyone's dietary preference/restrictions, coordinates transportation to and from the airport. The team of 5 assigned to the island ensure that you will not want for anything. They work so well together to maintain the island, keep it clean and cook amazing meals. With Ernesto and his sous chef Elmond in the kitchen every meal is a masterpiece. Abel and Michael keep everything running smoothly and are ready to assist with any project the guests need and drive the boat to and from mainland. Cindy is so wonderful to keep rooms and the rest of the island in tip top shape. To see the whole team in the kitchen at meal time is like watching a symphony. I loved to sit and watch every one of the guests enjoying activities they love. The pool is amazing, the common area great room is perfect for gathering, playing ping pong or pool, gathering around the bar for the cocktail of the day and dancing. Outside there is cornhole, horseshoes, croquet. Paddleboards and canoes for those who want to get out on the water, fishing is permitted (some fish are catch and release). All of the houses are on the ocean and beds are comfortable. We went in to town a couple of times for shopping and one meal ashore at Rumfish Y Vino which was recommended by our chef and was amazing - otherwise I would highly recommend to stay on the island and enjoy the meals prepared - they are a work of art and delicious. Overall the biggest problem I have with this vacation is that I do not feel I will ever be able to top this vacation with anything better.... EVER!! If you are considering a unique and private vacation for a group then this IS the vacation you are looking for!!! I love this island and I am a fan of this rental company!!

Worth the wait!
Covid canceled our Spring Break 2020 plans, and we rescheduled for June, 2021. Was an outstanding week for our family! The staff was so attentive, the meals were AMAZING, massages onsite, movie night on the beach, a concierge to arrange a wine tasting and jungle and snorkeling experiences... it was like having a full service resort just for us. Highly recommend!

Absolute Paradise!
This was by far the best vacation we have ever taken! The staff on the island were the best! Ernesto and Miguel were our chefs for the week, the meals were unbelievable ! Jose took great care of us both on the island and off. He did a terrific job making sure everything ran smoothly and flawlessly! Osmar also helped to get us where we were going and maintained the island, again amazing! Mindy was our housekeeper and kept everything sparkling and well stocked, she did a terrific job! We’ve never eaten so well or been pampered so much! Henry and Vicky, the two we worked with organizing the vacation made everything run so smoothly! They made our planning for excursions, meals and island entertainment so easy! We had a drumming band come to the island for entertainment, that was a great experience spending time with them. We probably could have booked them for a shorter amount of time, we did 5 hours but could have been less. We were a group of 12 adult friends, spending a week on a beautiful, tropical, private paradise and it could not have been any better!

This property is absolute paradise!
This private island was the perfect place for our group of 4 families to enjoy Belize and each other but each with our own bit of privacy. The homes are immaculate, beautifully constructed and modern but with traditional flair. The common spaces are well arranged to facilitate group conversations while the kids swam, combed the beach or played on ping pong or pool tables. The staff were unbelievably professional, friendly and accommodating. Each meal was absolutely gourmet quality with beautiful presentation by the private chef who accommodated multiple special request food preferences and allergies with ease. We only paid for groceries which was extremely reasonable especially given the very high quality of our meals - we could never have done that for ourselves! Our concierge, Henry went above and beyond on multiple occassions organizing the menu in advance, helping us book excursions and organizing our travel plans. He kept track of us from start to finish and even helped us problem solve transportation issues not booked through him. Overall, the experience could not have been more amazing. We all felt like movie stars enjoying a private island experience! We can't wait to go back.

Anytime you book something online without a personal review from someone you trust, it feels like a gamble. However, from the first contact with the in country manager, Henry, the communication and dedication to our groups happiness was spot on. We arrived with high expectations and those were exceeded! Talia did an exceptional job coordinating our stay. Many of the reviews mention that laundry is daily, but that's incorrect. It's done on Tuesday & Friday. Cindy takes care of the laundry and also does a wonderful job keeping the cottages sparkling. We had massages on the island and highly recommend this indulgence! Special thank you to Miguel for seeing to our every need. Oscar and Mike did a fantastic job as our chefs and the food was not only delicious, but the creative displays were impressive! Jose did an excellent job keeping the grounds & pool clean and although he tried to control the biting bugs, he was no match for mother nature, so we recommend getting and using plenty of bug spray. Not all of us came home with bites, but a few of us had several. Finally, thanks to this wonderful group for a week we will all remember! Your hard work and kindness is very much appreciated!

Amazing vacation destination!
Words cannot describe the beauty of this island and the pampering received from the staff. Our family of 10 (from ten years of age through us old grandparents) had relaxing time when we wanted it and plenty of activities available when we wanted to be active. And the food … Ernesto and Oscar are true chefs. Want to go into the village, maybe do some fishing, learn more about the area - just ask Jose and your wish will be granted. Want massages, facials - Talia will be happy to arrange everything for you, including massages on the dock (incredible experience). Would we go back again? In a New York minute!

Couldn't have asked for anything more
From beginning to end, this was the perfect vacation for my husband, me, and 8 of our friends. Communication with Talia, the property manager was excellent. She always got back to me the same day, usually just within a few hours. We decided to take the quick flight on Maya Island Air which was perfect. From there the boat ride to the island took probably less than five minutes. When we arrived, everything looked just the way it does on the VRBO website. The staff obviously takes great pride in the appearance of the island. Have you ever been on vacation in a beautiful place only to be woken up by an obnoxious weed wacker or leaf blower? That's the worst! It won't happen here. They used machetes to prune the bushes and I never heard any kind of machinery or obnoxious noise at all. The beach sand was raked every morning before we got up. The villas, the island, and the water were all beautiful but the staff made our stay perfect in every way. Ernesto is an incredible chef and Miguel was awesome also. They worked so hard every day and went above and beyond what we expected. Jose was on top of everything. He carted us around and made sure we made it on time for our excursions. And Osmar was excellent too. They made sure we had what we needed and if we didn’t, they got it for us. Cindy not only did our laundry and cleaned, she added her own little special touches to the rooms and had such a wonderful personality. The food was totally amazing. I had made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Placencia before we got to Belize thinking it would be good for all of us to go out one night. This was a highly rated restaurant. After eating Ernesto's food, we were a little disappointed that we didn't stay and eat at the island. Every meal was delicous! And we are foodies so we're not that easy to please but Ernesto's got it going on. I've talked mostly about the staff but when you think about it, the staff is a big deal. They were all super people and it was obvious they were not just doing a job, they actually cared. They were fun to have around. Vacation could have been much different. All it takes is one bad attitude, but you won't find one on this island. We left with great memories and new friends.

Make the jump!
If you have ANY hesitation at all about the property. I just gotta say stop and and take the jump. Its worth it! Every part about it was amazing! Views were great, staff was the best I’ve ever experienced and very accommodating. Hard NOT to fall in love with this place!

This place is even better in person!
The entire stay was absolutely amazing. We had 10 in our party and plenty of space. Our rooms were immaculate and the food was outstanding. I can not express how the staff went over and beyond what we expected. We spent our week kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, swimming and enjoying each others company. We explored town a few days to shop and eat. Our weather was perfect with any storms passing thru the night. We can’t stop talking about our vacation and planning for another in the future.

Beautiful Private Island with Top Tier Staff
I just returned from an amazing week spent on Little Harvest Caye! It comfortably fit 12 adults. While we had a few day excursions planned through a local service, we spent most of our time using the island's many amenities. There is a great pool with a volleyball net, a well-maintained beach, a number of water activities (kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear), ping-pong and pool tables and a few board games. The island has cable (we watched the Packers vs Bears game live) and reliable WiFi as well as Bluetooth for streaming music. While all of this was great, the staff are what truly made our stay unforgettable. Miguel was very accommodating and transported us to and from the mainland as needed. Ernesto was an absolutely fantastic cook. Every meal was made with care and served with style. Each of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our needs were more than taken of and we can't wait to visit again!

First trip to Belize
The transfers were smooth, the staff was amazing and the food was incredible. The location is a very short boat ride from the mainland - which is very convenient. We had one issue with an air conditioning unit which was resolved. All aspects of the trip, services and events were as advertised- no surprises. Great place for a family vaca/adventure.

There are no words for how amazing this place is
This island is absolute Heaven and it all starts with the people that work there. The chef’s Ernesto and Daniel create the most delicious plates of food I have ever tasted. You will never go hungry there, as there is always food being served. They make a huge amount of coffee in the morning and already had flavored creamer for us. The manager Miguel, who also drives the boat back and forth, is the funniest person I’ve ever met. He kept us on our toes all week and had us laughing until it hurt. Jose takes care of the property and is so happy to help with anything that you need. We brought blow up rafts for the pool and he spent time blowing them up for us on the first day. Cindy is who cleans the rooms daily and is so nice, I just wanted to take her home! They have everything that you can imagine on the island. Books, movies, bluetooth surround sound music, cards, games, pool table, ping pong table, darts, horseshoes, corn hole, volleyball net for the pool, lounge chairs everywhere, kayaks and paddle boats to name a few. They also set up a family movie night with a huge blow up screen and projector along with tons of popcorn. The kids loved it! Going into town is beautiful also. The locals are so friendly and wave as you drive by in the golf cart. We took the zip line, raft and waterfall excursion and it was worth every penny. The family had a great day and we all felt completely safe. We loved it so much we’ve already booked another week there.

Awesome in Belize
Best ever in 39 years of family vacations....immediate response on any concern or request....including trying to find out how to get over the counter contacts for a grandson who lost one who later found he had some in his suitcase. No request was impossible. All 5 of the staff were top notch. Go there if you can get a date...can't be wait to go back. Thank you LHC for making our best family vaca ever.

50th Birthday Island Stay
We had an amazing time at Little Harvest Caye. 10 of us celebrating our 50th birthdays found it to be the perfect place! Lots of games and space even with the island being so small. The staff and food was amazing! We loved the different meals that Ernesto made! We highly recommend Little Harest Caye!

Personal resort and paradise all in one
We had the most wonderful family vacation at Little Harvest Caye. We do a family trip every year and this one was extra special. Wonderful staff great with the kids. They showed a night movie with popcorn for the kids. Taught the little ones how to fish. There was non-stop pool and beach swimming. Caught an Iguana for all of them to see and touch and many other activities. Food was fabulous and even better we didn't have to make it. Day trips were great well designed, safe and responsible guides. The chocolate/ spice tour and zipline/waterfall and beach snorkeling day trips not a dissatisfied person even our 4 yr old. We never felt like we were short changed in any respect. Wayne our fishing guide was really good. We didn't just fish. We caught!! We've traveled to many islands and countries, but Belize and Little Harvest Caye definitely were high on the list of great, safe and memorable places to be. We couldn't have asked for a better week. Thanks to the staff for such a memorable week. We'll be back.

Great vacation, beautiful island, plenty of room for improvement
The location is excellent, lots of privacy, excellent food. Chefs Daniel and Essau absolutely made our week. Their food is stellar, and every request was met with a resounding ”no problem!” Carla and Osmar are both friendly, hard workers. You will get the service you ask for, but nothing more. If you want or need something don't wait for someone to think ahead and offer or suggest, take the initiative yourself. We found Miguel, the on-site property manager, to be lacking in his ability or desire to host. Unavailable often, even rude at times. Spraying for bugs is one of his duties and we are all leaving with plenty of bites - take some insect repellent with you. Also make sure to keep an eye on the pool, we had to Miguel to shock it after the water became murky and turning green. The request wasn't exactly met with positive feedback, but it was taken care of. The air conditioning in the bedrooms leave a lot to be desired. Inconsistent and spotty and lacking enough power to keep a room cool. We had to ask for fans to sleep comfortably. The masseuses sent out by Mabel were excellent and well worth the indulgence and fishing with Blue Reef Charters was exceptional. Even with all that said, we would return... and request Daniel and Essau to cook for us again!

We Will never be able to top this vacation
Very simple process, they communicate quickly, when you arrive in Belize City the turquoise shirts round you up quickly, there was always someone that just appeared and guided us to the island. When we arrived on the island it was so beautiful I almost cried. The photos of the island do not come close to how amazing and large everything is. We went to placencia for dinner one night, but really don’t waste your time, your island experience surpasses anything in the village. Miguel is so good at what he does, he is sarcastic and very humorous, we loved joking around with him. He is constantly listening and if he hears something that you want to do he has already arranged it. He took us to town and everywhere we went he unexpectedly showed up, it was like he was there to protect us Incase we got in trouble. Daniel and Oscar were our chefs, good lord can they cook! Everything was fresh, guacamole, margaritas mix, simple syrup, fruit juices, all fresh squeezed every day. Presentation was phenomenal, accommodated our meal times, food preferences, gourmet food every meal, cooked all the fish we caught, amazing young men! Osmar kept the grounds immaculate, helped us fish, showed the boys how to throw a fish net. Caught a iguana so we could look at it closely. He set up the kayaks in the morning, made sure our lounge cushions were brought in when it sprinkled, he was always so quietly on the sidelines, fulfilling our little needs. Sandy and her sister, so sweet, our rooms were always perfect. Do not bring more than 3 outfits or suits, they are on top of the laundry, hours later your clothes are ready and so fresh smelling. We were never bored, we had a billiard tournament, dart tournament that lasted days, played volleyball, spike ball, horse shoes, kayaked, paddle boarded, fished, lounged, suntanned, watched the season finale of the GOT. Do not plan many excursions because you will miss your home, but if you do use captain jaks, they were very generous with their time. Wow! Can’t wait to do it all over again!

Not easy to do, but worth it.
We stayed 7 nights, April 27 to May 4. 10 of us, 5 couples. A group of friends who, 1 Friday night during cocktail hour, started texting and talking, then – bam !, we booked the island without knowing too much about it. After we booked this we realized that there was much more than just airfare to Belize and $3,500 per couple. But I will say that this trip was worth it. FYI, it’s not an easy trip. As the boat pulls up to Little Harvest Caye, you realize that this is just as the pictures and video describe it. It’s almost exactly like the video. The boat dock leads into the common area. The common area has the TV, pool table, kitchen, bar, dining table, pool, etc. The rooms are all excellent with air conditioning, nice beds, plenty of room and storage, a safe, and an open air bathroom. Each front door faces the common area. The bathrooms all had a wonderful breeze blowing thru, all the time. The showers are open air but not open for viewing, if you know what I mean. The staff. They were each good hard working people. 4 guys stay on the island: 2 chefs, and 2 guys who do maintenance. And 1 of them drives the boat. The boat goes into town daily to pick up and drop off the maid and to get supplies. The sand is always raked, the pool cleaned, and the common area maintained. The 2 chefs are truly skilled, as mentioned in previous reviews. Everything is made fresh, like the bread, salsa, dessert, etc. It’s all made from scratch. Everything was excellent in my opinion. I don’t think there was anything that they couldn’t make. If you want to go to town, the guy will take you in – it’s that simple. And when you’re ready to come back, simply call him and he’s there within 10 minutes. The maid was awesome. She worked so hard, every day. The town is not much of a fun place to go. There are only a couple nice places to eat & drink & get a T-shirt. My advice for this trip: Don’t worry about ordering “Provisions” except for beer - it’s too hard to carry. Don’t worry about the “menu”, just let them do their thing. Alcohol – pack it AND buy it at the Belize airport. Example: a 1.75 liter of Tito’s is $29.00 USD in the airport .vs. a smaller 1 liter bottle of Tito’s in a grocery store for $60.00 USD. Bring plenty USD cash. If you can find 4 couples who have the time, who can afford it, and are fine to fly in little prop planes, also don’t mind 3rd world countries, AND all get along with each other, I highly recommend this.

This place was unbelievable. From the moment we arrived until we left, it was perfection. The place was perfect, rooms were great and the staff was above and beyond the entire time. Could not recommend this place enough. I would skip the third party fishing tour or jaguar tour, def not what was advertised.

Better by the minute
Celebrated my husbands fiftieth and brought our best friends. There was ten of us and it was perfect. Having your very own island and only seeing the ones you love instead of hoards of tourists is worth EVERY penny. The island was spotless and facilities very well maintained. I don’t even know where to begin with the staff. I have more food photos from this trip which you’ll think is absurd until you eat the food. Did not expect that level of deliciousness. Thank you Daniel and Anthony for beautiful food! Daniel sent us all home with a personal pack of spices to recreate his specialties. I’ve already texted him for additional help. Thanks to Jose and his brother for the help with fishing and boating us around. And even the girl who came to clean our rooms was lovely. I really can’t say enough about the staff. A typical day on the island was wake up, stumble out of your beautiful cabana to freshly made coffee, read or try to, but the beautiful sunrise needs attention. Ask who wants mimosas cause the beautiful surroundings requires celebrating, feel mildly guilty for consuming alcohol at 7:30am, swim around the island twice to assuage guilt, get served a delicious breakfast, have to cheers yet again cause the meal you just ate, do some yoga, start on cocktails, then snorkel some, then lunch, more celebrating, nap, then the real fun would start. Dinner, dancing and loving life. Good stuff. Going to town is nice but you’ll find yourself in a real hurry to get back to your private paradise. And we enjoyed our snorkel excursion through captain Jack. Took us out to Glover’s and then to Silk Caye (nurse sharks-super cool) and hatchet Caye-paradise. So to sum it all up - you’ll never stay at a hotel again after this. You better Belize it!
