The pictures do not do this property justice! The grounds are meticulously maintained. It feels like you are at a resort. House was fairly clean- there is mold in the shower and both couches were stained to the point of needing to be cleaned or replaced. The little touches such as crystal coasters and fresh eggs in the fridge were appreciated. Top of the line appliances and fixtures. Very secluded but still close to town. We were looking forward to the hot tub but it was not working. Texted but no reply.

Awesome getaway

This was an awesome let get away for the family. Beautiful little cottage and gorgeous grounds. Our little dog loved visiting the chickens. I was it didn’t rain so much during our time there. I would stay here again. Thank you!

Great place, great hosts

Jeanne and Bob were exceptional hosts. We had a problem with VRBO not showing our reservation, the hosts were great about communicating with us. The property is thoughtfully put together and well-appointed (we've stayed at places where basics like handsoap, trashbags, toilet paper, etc. weren't stocked...not the case here!). The property is easy to get to, but you really feel like you're off the beaten path and many of the amenities make it feel like a luxurious space. Well-worth a weekend getaway!

Perfect Stay

This could not have been a better stay. The pool house and surrounds are just beautiful. The cottage is so lovely, built with beautiful cabinets and lots of light. It is well-furnished, and includes a kitchen that holds everything that we needed to cook several meals there. Our hosts were very responsive, and clearly wanted to make our stay as positive as possible. We felt so well taken care of! My husband and I felt so appreciative to spend our weekend in such comfort and beauty. We will return!

Casual Elegance

Our second stay here. We stayed as a home base for white water rafting with our two kids. Really wonderful. Kids loved the pool and all the amenities in the extreme heat of summer. We also took walks and played ping pong. We plan on coordinating with a second family to stay here again next year. We would stay in the pool house and the second family would stay in the carriage house.

Dream Getaway

This property has just about everything I’d want in my dream house: beautiful landscaping, pool, hot tub, outdoor living area, outdoor entertaining area, garden, fountains, fire pit, volleyball, basketball, and beautiful interiors. The host was on site, readily available to meet needs, but also invisible. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. Note, there are lots of stairs. My sister had some trouble with climbing stairs so was a little inconvenient for her. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Little slice of Heaven

This is a wonderful get away or place to land while exploring Auburn and surrounding areas. Upon walking in the gated area, you will be swept away with the view of the stunning pool with the Cottage behind it. So European! Gardens full of aromas throughout the day and evening, birdsong. The Cottage is charming…feels perfectly French in every way…I loved the refer/freezer combo and the induction stove. Very comfortable bed and furniture. It is light and bright with windows everywhere and blinds when you need them. Completely private, there are places to entertain (I hosted a luncheon for 3 birthday friends catered by a nearby Chef). It was perfect. The pool. It is delightful with an old-school diving board and it’s deep! Perfect for those who love to tread water as I do. I do not have one complaint. The hosts generously shared their farm fresh eggs and a lovely bottle of red was waiting on the table. How much did I love this Cottage full of charm? I booked it again for 10 days next month! Thank you, Hosts…your Auburn Cottage Pool House is a little slice of Heaven!

The pool house was very comfortable and clean. My wife and I had a lovely time staying here over the New Year. It had everything we needed and more. I was very impressed with the quality and attention to detail that went into this property. The hot tub and fireplace were very nice and perfect for us on a rainy day. The surrounding property was beautiful and charming as well, with some goats and mini horses we could watch through the window. The owners supplied us with some fresh eggs from their chickens, and we picked up a couple of the delicious oranges that were falling off the tree in the back. Apart from the owner introducing herself when we arrived, we had a ton of privacy. We would definitely come back here, maybe in the summer to take advantage of the pool. The owners even put out a bottle of wine on the table for us, which we didn't end up drinking, but this was just another nice surprise among many that we experienced during our stay here.

Oasis in Auburn

Spent a few days in this oasis tucked away from the world. Beautiful grounds, great pool, and cozy living quarters. Though we didn’t see Robert or Jeanne our whole stay, our fridge had farm fresh eggs when we got there and they were attentive, asking if we needed anything.

A quiet, private spot with beautiful farm views, within minutes of downtown Auburn and all the area has to offer. Perfect place to wind down, and have a soak in the hot tub after a day exploring the areas many trails. Highly recommend!
