Recibimos excelente servicio y atenciones del personal y disfrutamos de una gran variedad de alimentos y bebidas disponibles durante todo el día y noche. My friend and I had a relaxing week long stay at Viva Azteca. The location in Playacar was safe and felt very much like a friendly neighbourhood. We did day trips to Cenote but also enjoyed riding bikes around Playacar and spending time on the beach under the palm trees. The staff at the resort were all amazing. They all were super friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The staff would treat us like family and did everything in their power to make sure we enjoyed our time. Not once did we feel unsafe or that any of our property would be stolen. The rooms were incredibly comfortable. The cleaners would come everyday to make our beds and clean up. The food was amazing with something new everyday and having multiple restaurant options. My fiance is celiac which usually makes it hard to find food options but the resort made sure they always had options for her aswell as making sure it tasted good. The perfomers were all great. They had a new show everynight from a world tour to a lion king night. We saw them in the morning making sure people were having a good time teaching dances at the pool to having games and fun contest that were available for all ages. There were always staff available to help us out with whatever we needed. They made sure we would have a ride when we needed it and aswell as giving us suggestions on what fun activities to do. I have nothing bad to say about the resort. Absolutely everything was amazing. The staff, the food, the comfortability, and the overall enjoyment were amazing. I highly recommend coming here if you are thinking about it. Even when i saw other tourist treat the workers like slaves/garbage, the staff would still do their best aswell as having a smile on their face.

Overall, our stay at Viva Azteca was enjoyable in many ways. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff did a commendable job keeping the beach area as clear as possible during a difficult seaweed season. The pool was also very nice and well-maintained. However, several areas fell short of expectations. The amenities advertised were underwhelming. The “game room,” for instance, was disappointing. It featured only one old, broken pool table with damaged cues and missing pocket nets, making it nearly unusable. The dinner experience, in terms of service and ambiance, was pleasant. However, the biggest issue during our stay was with the food itself—specifically, how food allergies were handled. My family has peanut allergies, and I had called the hotel ahead of time to confirm that they could accommodate this. I was assured that they could. Unfortunately, that was not our experience upon arrival. At the Mayan Cuisine restaurant, we informed our server of our allergies, and he seemed unconcerned. He told us he couldn’t guarantee the dishes were nut-free, which contradicted what we had been told before our trip. Still, we ordered dishes he claimed were safe. Within 30 minutes, my son broke out in hives, and I experienced the beginning of an allergic reaction myself. Thankfully, we had emergency medication on hand. We tried to move on and enjoy the rest of our stay, but these incidents continued. At the buffet, I asked multiple staff members whether certain dishes conta

My brothers room had a leaking roof. My sisters room her main door wouldn’t lock properly. No elevators. Small dirty pool. Building is old. Food is gross. The power went out in the middle of the night. Left us without an AC inside the room for hours in the middle of the night. I plugged my blow dryer into the plug and the breakers in the room had to be reset because the power went out.

This resort is very well kept. It was clean, though the rooms could use a renovation. The showers were outdated. The resort is eco-friendly, so they don't use water bottles. They have filtered bottle filling stations around the resort. They also offer cool water from dispensers around the property. The resort is very close to Playa Del Carmen, for any shopping you want to do. There's also a very decently sized market just down the road from the resort. It's a gated community, so it's very safe. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay at a nice, quiet and affordable resort near playa del carmen.

Overall 7 days trip went good. Good food, friendly stuff, close to shopping and a 10 min walk to 5th street. Hotel is kind of outdated but we were there for the Ocean not a room. Did not have any people who want you to buy the Timeshare , that's was a surprise. Overall will comeback.

We had a great time, the rooms were great but the floors were very slippery when wet, like more than a usual tile. Loved the variety at the buffet, only negative about it was that i do wish at least the main buffet was air conditioned.

Travelled here with my partner, it was a very chill resort with lots of families. Definitely not a big party spot, but that was good for us. Everything was nice and clean, our power went out one day and they fixed it quickly. Our only issue was the food, we didn’t have high expectations going in as all inclusive food is hit or miss but we were still disappointed.
