Port Colborne Pleasant Beach Hotels

"When we checked in - I assume that this was the last room available as I let them know it was my birthday but they weren’t able to accommodate anything better. The person at the front desk was not friendly nor was she helpful. One we got into the room, we had a view of a wall with a ladder. We weren’t able to use our phones as we had no reception in the room. The fan in the room was blowing cold air so we set it to heat hoping that the room would warm up, the temperature just kept dropping. We called maintenance to have them come up and fix it. We left the room for a couple of hours, when we got back there was a not saying that the room only had air conditioning. We went down and no solution was offered. We up having to check out and drive home at 1am. We had done wine tastings during the day, this was not safe but given that they didn’t offer any accommodation or even a heater we had no choice. I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times before and it seems like the staff is all new and the customer service at the front desk is lacking. We were not offered anything for the inconvenience, I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel."

"Prendre note qu'il y a deux sections à cet hotel. Une que je qualifierai à 3.5 étoiles (côté lobby). Les chambres sont confortables, ménage pourrait être mieux. L'autre section, je mettrai 1 étoile... Pas confo, sale, très très vieux (chaises déchirées). Les 2 sections sont au même prix. Points positifs: bien situé et buffet varié."

"It’ll be cheaper to book the “more expensive” hotels in the area- there are so many hidden fees with this place when you arrive. I booked online through Expedia and had already paid for the room on there. I do understand there is a small per night parking fee, and was expecting to pay the correct amount for my two nights. Instead, I was charged over DOUBLE my ROOM for all of these hidden fees. Resort fee, tourist fees, and a ton of other unnecessary fees. I have stayed with this hotel for three consecutive years, and the previous two years have not been like this whatsoever- at least not to this level. The month of May is still technically off season for the Falls, so for this to be more expensive is beyond unreasonable. Upon checking out around 10:25am (checkout is from 11-11:30) I was hit with another fee. More fees was again charged to my card for what appears to be an unknown reason. I talked with a very friendly staff member at the front desk, however I was unable to get a clear answer as to why I have been charged so much. I did get an itemized receipt but when looking at all of these different “fees” on paper, the more it feels like I got lied to and robbed. I guarantee it would have been cheaper to stay at a nicer hotel for the exact same price than to be lied to at Comfort Inn. "

"Gorgeous newly renovated suite, the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in! Took advantage of a reduced rate upgrade to a full view of the falls and it was spectacular! Comfy beds and pillows led to the best sleep ever… we even bought the pillows!! Loved the Nespresso machine for that first cup 😄☕️The staff is warm and professional, and dinner at STK was exceptional, although more expensive than we’d normally go for dinner it was a special occasion and really enjoyed the food quality, staff and atmosphere. Overall a great experience 10/10 highly recommend!"

"The sheets were surprisingly soft. Lots of free parking, breakfast and you are only a couple of minutes off the highway away from the border. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. "
