Bella Manga Country Escape My family and I had a wonderful stay at Bella Manga. It is a truly peaceful and beautiful place—perfect for rest, reflection, and quality family time. The surroundings are serene, and the atmosphere made us feel refreshed and at home. We are grateful for the experience and thankful for such a lovely retreat. Truly a blessing to stay here. Definitely a place we would return to in the future.

STUNNING! The place is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and peaceful. Lovely sounds of birds all the time. Lovely, lovely accommodation, food and friendly service!

Amazing if you wish to escape the city. Very clean and tidy. The night sky is fully visible if you like stargazing. 25 mins drive from Plettenberg Bay. You’ll need to drive for lunch and dinner. There’s great restaurants within 4-5 km. I doubt there’s any taxi service.

Prachtig landgoed

We hadden het weer niet helemaal mee maar toch genoten we van het zwembad, de leuke huisjes, het heerlijke ontbijt en de vriendelijke uitbaatster die heel wat informatie en tips gaf.

Great stay with kind and helpful people

Our family loved the stay at Bella Manga. The people are so kind and helpful. The kids loved feeding the donkeys and felt at home! Breakfast is great and tasty! The family rondaval was clean and spacious! We couldn’t wished more and would be more then happy to return. It was for us a holiday.

Wonderful idyllic retreat

A wonderful idyllic retreat in the hills just at a 15mins drive from Plett. A variety of accommodation, the rondavels are very cute. There are communal areas with couches tables and honesty bar. We stayed only one night but wished we had booked for longer. Would love to come back.

PERFECT GARDEN ROUTE LOCATION

Great Welcome from well informed hosts. The property has been renovated to a high standard without loosing it's African charm. Unlike so many places in Plett. The description on the Hotels.com site is what you get. The WiFi could be quicker but if you choose a holiday in this type of location get on with it. It works. Breakfast is served outside when the weather allows which makes for a great start, is made to order and more than adequate. Parking is on site and security good .

You will find your Hosts, Ray and Fiona an absolute pleasure whilst being very accommodating to your requests and providing insights for exploring this beautiful part of the World. Don't be afraid to ask if anything missing in your room or if something is not up to your standard. You will find them very receptive and only too pleased to put it all right.

location not very convenient

beautiful place but the location is very much out of town, the rooms do not have tvs and they also do not have wifi which made it very difficult for us, overall not a very convenient place for us.

Quiet time in the Uplands

Spent two days there and it was wonderful! The breakfast was fantastic, the location was perfect, the bed was sooo comfortable and the owners are truly lovely. They helped us when our bakkie broke down too, so they were a real blessing. Very thankful we booked a room there. We will be back! Thanks again!

Home from home.

From the moment I arrived to my departure I was made to feel very welcome and that included the two super friendly dogs. I stayed in a B&B roundhouse with a big comfy bed and power shower, there are large grounds to relax in and a fair sized salt water swimming pool. The breakfasts are huge, it was an effort to get up and go out exploring all the sites of local interest. I was only there two days, it will be a week next time.

Escape to nature

Set about 15mins grom Plett main town its a beautiful drive to the house. Owners are friendly. Room is not cleaned each day so totally self-catering and self-cleaning. Grounds are well kept.

Too Cold to Sleep Comfortably!

The cottage was nice but I would not recommend it during the winter months June - August SUPER cold. There was no way of warming up. We were given three hot water bottles for a party of 6, to help us keep warm...lol. We went to a nearby restaurant 2 hours early in order to stay warm and enjoy our evening around a fireplace. Upon arrival we checked in with the owner at the main lodge where breakfast was to be served. After smelling the oder from the TWO large dogs we opt out of having breakfast.

Beautiful location and Friendly Owners

We were staying in the 3 bedroom Forest Lodge and it was ideal for us being a family of 5. Beautifully located slightly away from the main buildings and very peaceful. Breakfast was great with everything we wanted and very tasty. Fiona and Ray were great hosts and recommended some lovely local restaurants for us to try.

Very kind owners, we got excellent breakfast from them with great conversation. It was a bit cold inside and it was uncomfortable to reach the location due to road works between Plettenberg Bay and the lodge.
