Cabot`s Modern-Day Beach House
Welcome to this 2-bedrooom ocean-side, vacation home packed full of modern-day comforts and located within 5 minutes drive of the restaurants, shops and fisherman`s dock of the Acadian village of Cheticamp.
Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic ocean, Cape Breton`s rugged coastline and spectacular sunsets from every room.
Kindly note that children must be 8 years or older to stay, pets are not permitted and maximum occupancy is 4 persons.
Inside, the well equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine in style and comfort, including an island with bar stools. The spacious living room is flooded with natural light and offers captivating ocean views and stunning evening sunsets. The home now features air conditioning. In the unlikely event you get bored of these natural wonders, we have a SMART TV and Wi-Fi for streaming movies or music.
Outside, take in the fresh Atlantic sea air while enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer on your spacious 500 square foot sundeck which has a BBQ and 270 degree views of the coastal and local mountains.
Each bedroom has an ocean view. The master bedroom features a King-sized bed, an ultra-comfortable pillow-top mattress, premium bedding along, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has an ocean view, a similar Queen-sized bed and its own bathroom.
The home sits on a 1.5-acre property about 100 feet from an embankment, with a stone beach and the Atlantic ocean below. The ocean and coastal views are truly impressive. While it is not possible to climb down the embankment to the beach, there is beach access a short walk down the road (where you will also find a popular spot for swimming, beach walks and sea glass hunting. Guests need to be responsible for their own safety near the embankment as there is no guard rail.
Location-wise, we are a short 5-10 minute drive from the historic Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp, which marks the starting point of the highly scenic Cabot Trail and the Skyline Trail (which is a must-see for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts). For golf enthusiasts, our place is a great base camp as we are ten minutes from Le Portage Golf Course and about 40 minutes from Canada`s #1 ranked golf course -- Cabot Cliffs.

Our stay was great. Nice selection of supplies, well maintained, very clean, and beautiful view from the deck. Thanks for a great stay! I highly recommend that you read the house rules as to what to expect during the stay from the instructions provided by the host.
Outstanding place. Great location, beautiful views, very clean and roomy. Michael, our host was very accommodating and made sure we were well aware of all the attractions and activities. Cabot Trail lived up to its reputation. Will definitely stay with this host again if we’re lucky enough to make another trip to Nova Scotia
Very clean cottage on a perfect location for us: very quiet area but within a very short drive of everything you would need. Michael made sure that we had what’s needed for a perfect stay.
The house was perfectly located with beautiful sunset views. It was clean with a fun beach decor and comfortable. The property owner was attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!!!
Lovely setting and nice digs. Very nicely equipped. Property manager was quick to reply to any questions, had good suggestions for dining... would definitely stay again.

A perfect jumping off spot for hiking Cape Breton Highlands National Park and a great place to come back to for sunset. The house was very clean, the kitchen well appointed, the beds extremely comfortable, and the host, Michael, was welcoming, attentive and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
House was very clean. Beautiful view from the deck. Enjoyable to sit out there and relax. Close to the National Park. Restaurants close as well. Great communication with the host! I would stay again.
My family had a great stay at Michael’s property. The views are breathtaking with a short drive or walk to access the local beach. Close to all the amenities of Chéticamp and to check out the Cabot Trail. The property was spotless, with a well stocked kitchen and having AC was lovely. The deck offered the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Great spot!
This place was simply amazing! The views were spectacular and it was incredibly clean, and had so many amenities. MIichael was incredibly responsive and seemed to think of every detail you could need during your stay. My husband and I would highly recommend!
5 nights with the bedroom window open, we fell asleep to the sound of the waves.
Started each day on the deck with coffee, looking for seals.
Amazing hikes
Great food
Hated to leave
Will be back
Excellent home, everything was perfect. Extremely well maintained home, well stocked. We stayed only one night due to our schedule, would have loved to stay longer. The sunsets were beyond words. The 4 of that stayed would highly recommend this property, it will not disappoint.
Michael - your property was a wonderful home-away-from-home for the 4 of us. Well furnished, with very comfortable beds! You were very responsive to our few questions and made sure we had everything we needed.
Very highly recommend this perfect Cape Breton retreat!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a great place in Cheticamp! The location is convient to Highlands National Park, driving the Cabot Trail, and good local restaurants. We really liked Au Coin bakery, Last Chance Sandwich Shop, and L'Abri. The layout of the house is perfect as the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home. Our hosts were quick to reach out and ensure we were informed of all special considerations for access and area interests. The house has plenty of supplies and the plentiful labeled, dimmer switches is appreciated. Highly recommend and we can't wait to return.
Highly recommend this property and definitely will rebook when we return. Michael responded so promptly to all requests and communications it was a pleasure dealing with him. Only regret was not staying longer to enjoy all the amenities.
The property is as advertised. Clean and modern. Kitchen is well equiped with modern appliances, utensils, plates/ dishes, etc.
Beautiful view. Short drive to grocery store. Close to at least 5 restaurants.
I would be happy to stay here again.

Clean, well appointed and modern place. Bbq worked great. Super location for views. Seals can be seen easily from the deck. Satelite dish wasn’t working but we didn’t mind it. Location is fairly close to the cabot trail, and although the skyline trail is very busy, it is about 25 minutes away - we did a sunset tour. Highly recommend this place - this was two couples and more than enough space for each. Cheers
We had a great time at this home . Set up is perfect . No stairs and bedroom/bathrooms on each side with common areas in the middle . Four sliding doors show off the amazing view . Host was very responsive and helpful . We enjoyed the area and this home very much
This place is the perfect spot to get away. From the time we got out of the car and heard the ocean our blood pressure dropped 20 points.
The unit itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped. Our only mistake was not staying here longer. But we’ll definitely be backm
