The hotel was pleasant and ideally located, making it a convenient base for our stay. However, the rooms were quite small, and we felt that the number of towels provided was insufficient. The lady on reception when we arrived was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the staff when we checked out seemed rather uninterested and disengaged, which was disappointing and they looked like we had just woke them up. The reception area could also benefit from some attention, particularly the carpets, which appeared dirty and had a large, noticeable stain. This detracted from the overall appearance and didn’t create the most welcoming first impression. Although the location was convenient, the surrounding area didn’t feel particularly safe at night and it was very noisy outside Overall, the hotel was fine for a short stay, but improvements to cleanliness, room amenities and customer service would make a noticeable difference to the guest experience.

It is a budget hotel that is excellent for a short stay (such as ours) in the city center and with a very nice, English speaking staff. The breakfast is among the best ones i have had in any hotel (kudos!). In our room the airco was malfunctioning and in no time we had a other one.

In need of Modernisation

The hotel is immediately in the centre of Poitiers which is the only redeeming feature. It is way in need of modernisation as is very shabby and old. We were offered free breakfast which I have never had in ibis only Ibis styles. Maybe this is to make up for the state of the hotel. Parking is available across the road at the centreville car park which is excellent and very reasonable.

Central Poitiers-great service

Great hotel, centrally located. The service at reception when we arrived was excellent. Important to book a car parking space if you need one as there are only 17 spaces available. Would certainly use again.
