Great Family Getaway!

Cpt. Bill's Lake House is amazing. The house is spacious, immaculate and has everything you would need. The pool makes it someplace you never even want to leave. We stayed here as a family before dropping my son off at college nearby and had such a nice time we for sure will return.

What a delightfully arranged 2 story home away from home! 2 bedroom, 2 bath suites with lovely surroundings. Restful and restorative because everything one could want is available. The Captain and his wife are thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend! Nearby Cataract Falls are a "don't miss" with its covered bridge and easy hiking trails.

Amazing stay

My husband and I hosted our baby shower on the property (which is lovely) and it was better than we could have ever hoped! All of our friends and family were able to come out and enjoy the pool. Bill and Becky were awesome, they made us feel super comfortable and were very accommodating when we had to add extra people to our reservation. Prior to the shower we stayed the weekend to enjoy the lake and relax which was also 10/10. We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome !!!

Our stay was awesome!! A little difficult finding it. We had no service lol 😂. But great we saw the Falls and hiked to the lake. The pool was refreshing.

Such a wonderful stay

We needed a place to stay that was in close proximity to property that we own in the area and the lake house was the perfect location. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell that Capt. Bill and Becky take great pride in their home because the details are perfect. We had a peaceful time here and really enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck listening to the wildlife and our sunset walks to the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful House!

We had a lovely week staying in this house! There was enough room for our family of 5. Our kids absolutely loved the beautiful pool and we swam there everyday, almost always having the pool to ourselves. We enjoyed spending time together playing board games and cards each night. We also took advantage of the nearby lake and waterfalls. The only thing that was missing was a washer and dryer. We had such a great stay and would come again!

Best VRBO experience!

Our party consisted of 3 adults. We went for 4 days/ 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The trip was serene and relaxing. Bill and Becky have anticipated every need. The interior of the “A” frame house is impecable. (Cleanliness, taste, and comfort 10/10). During the day we would visit a National Park, walk the trails or swim in a lake, and during the afternoon, we would hang out at their amazing pool. At night, we would drive about 30 minutes to Greencastle for a great dinner. For a light homemade lunch, I recommend Cooks Corner- make sure you try her homemade pies). For a fancier dinner go to Bridges. Thank you Bill and Becky for a fabulous mini-vacay. We can’t wait to go back!

Pool is great!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay - house was perfect for pur needs and proximity to lake was wonderful. Little far from other attractions but boys spent a lot of time in the pool.
