This home was exactly what we needed. Clean, lots of charm, beautiful forest setting and close to the lake and trails. The property manager communicated proactively and responded quickly when I had a question. Would love to come back.
Our family’s stay at Apple’s chalet was amazing. It is one of the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed at. We had a wonderful time. All 5 of us fit comfortably. We would definitely stay here again.
The property is as pictured and very clean. The back yard is fenced to keep your dogs safe. The host has thought of everything. We will look for this property again on our next trip.
Apple Chalet is a bright, elegant, well appointed cabin that had everything we needed to enjoy a cozy stay during the recent snow storms, handyman to shovel the driveway included! It is far enough off the freeway to offer a respite in the Sierras while still being close enough to anything you might need. The fenced in yard for our small dog to roam was much appreciate as well. We would easily visit again!
Loved the property. Only thing that prevented five star is noise from the Sly Park Road. It gets quite noisy when bikes and trucks pass by. The property is located right next to the road.
This cabin was a nice escape from the heat of the valley summer. Our host, Erin was communicating with us prior to our check in and was quite friendly via text. Check in process was a breeze. Overall, it was a very nice stay. the home had everything we needed and more. Our 3 year old daughter loved the game room and the playground.
We were hoping there would be a trail to walk on directly from the house but you need to drive to the start of any trail. The drive was not far at all but it was a hassle with 2 children under 3. It was right next to the main road so it can get noisy at night with the windows opened.
We enjoyed a week at the Apple Chalet and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area! Located in Pollock Pines, the area offered a beautiful lake for recreation, and an easy drive to Tahoe or Sacramento for more adventures.
The home was well stocked with anything you would need and lovely decor! We enjoyed the deck off the living area and the safe, fenced in yard for our pup. My kids spent most of their time either swinging on the swing set, or hanging out in the game room! There are steep stairs to get up to the queen beds, and downstairs to the game room; however, the fenced yard has gate accessibility from the outside walkway as well. On our cool morning walks through the neighborhood we saw deer almost every day!
Don’t forget to grab a burger at the Burger Barn in town, or drive down the road for gelato at Shorty’s in Placerville!
What a cute house! My family of three loved our time here and will definitely be back! The house is exactly as pictured, but even more charming in person. And SO clean! Definitely as clean as any five star hotel, which we are trying to get away from in favor of more space, quiet, and privacy. I even went under a bed to access an extension cord and it was immaculate underneath - not a dust bunny in sight. It’s also so organized with labels everywhere so you know exactly what’s what. We had hoped for snow during our trip but missed it by a few days and the owner recommended a place to find some nearby which saved us a trip to a traditional crowded snow park. We also found the area cute with enough to do for a long weekend with great food nearby. It’s also quiet despite being on the corner of a main road, and we’re fairly sensitive to noise. I’d love to find a more powerful heater in the downstairs game room as it was pretty chilly in winter, but my 12 year old son played down there fully content regardless (all the other spaces have great heaters). There are also two spiral staircases in the home to be aware of if that’s of concern, but the master bedroom is on the main floor with a wonderful clawfoot tub. All three beds were extremely comfortable as well, which is truly appreciated. 5 stars all around and we’re looking forward to more time here in the future!

Apple's Chalet was a wonder place for us to stay for my wife's birthday. She wanted snow and she got it! We absolutely loved the charm, and really appreciated that everything was labeled. Lots of blankets for cold weather and all the floors heated up nicely. Plenty of room for the kids and adults to spread out. We asked for an extra day because of the snow and they even snow plowed the driveway so we could get out once it's stopped snowing. We want to come back in the spring or summer!

Very clean sweet house
Cute cabin home. Very clean which I appreciate. Good communication from the host. Nice outdoor area great for dogs. Unfortunately no fire pit (not even a gas one) although I thought the photos showed one. wish they had a hot tube outside (:
There’s a great tube inside for relaxing though.
Honestly was not a fan of the reservoir, very busy and not the cleanest water. But that’s not related to the house just the general area.
It is right on the corner of a pretty busy road. because it’s on a hill, when you sit outside you sometimes can’t hear what the other person is saying because the vehicles are so loud. Bring gear plugs for sleeping if you’re sensitive.
Nice for a family for sure, not ideal for two couples because the upstairs doesn’t have a door and the living room doesn’t have a nice big couch .
Over all had a wonderful stay and enjoyed dinners and breakfast on the patio.
We booked this place because it was pet friendly and we have kids. The property has a nice fenced yard and small play structure in the back for the kids to play on. Inside the house was very well stocked with everyday things and had multiple chargers for electronics. We really loved how this felt liked an actual home. Definitely look forward to returning

Apple's Chalet is gorgeous and welcoming
This cabin was absolutely amazing! It was so beautifully decorated it was fun to just sit by the fire and look around and get ideas. Beyond that the owner seemed to think of every possible detail. There was everything you could possibly need here from coffee, to chargers for all your devices to perfect linens in every room. The Wifi was strong and given that my husband and I both had to work, it just made everything that much easier. I would highly recommend this cabin to couples who need to recharge themselves, as well as to busy families. Plenty of room with a rec room for the kids, and lovely outdoor areas as well. Fabulous retreat! Thank you so much for being such thoughtful hosts.
This house is has so much character and architectural detail, we were really impressed. It was beautifully decorated and very clean with great amenities [the radiant heat floors were fantastic]. The manager Sarah was incred6 helpful and very quick to respond when we did have a question.
This place is so clean and inviting. It is very stylish while still being welcoming. We travel with our dog, so we appreciated the fenced portion of the yard and the gated deck.
I had to try out the bathtub. It was a highlight for me. Plenty of hot water and a tray to hold my book.
The kitchen is well stocked, all the appliances work well. Air conditioning and fans were quiet. I liked having the charging cables available so I didn't have to dig mine out.
My son loved the guitars. The smaller one was tuned to open G and it was fun to try to play.
We all enjoyed the outdoor seating on the balcony and the chairs down in the back yard. It is just a beautiful spot surrounded by trees.
The only thing that was unfortunate is there is a road right behind the house that gets lots of traffic. It seemed like every Harley rider and diesel engine truck in the county had to parade past. It made it hard to fully enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted. Fortunately, during the evening it is quiet so we slept fine.
Overall, It was truly everything we needed and we are thankful we got to stay.

Most Adorable Home
We absolutely loved this charming little house. We had everything we needed to enjoy a girls weekend. This house was so comfortable, the outside area is amazing for both adults and children if you choose to bring them. There is a play structure and space for kids and pets to run around (fenced in for safety). The downstairs "game room" was a favorite spot for lounging and hanging out. The deck was the premier spot as the weather was picture perfect while we were there. The kitchen was stocked with all the needed items to cook up a little meal after a long day exploring the near by Apple Hill. What a treat. Only 2 hours from home but we felt like we were at a far away place leaving the city and stress behind. Highly recommend this place. Every detail was thought of ! It did not disappoint and you will not regret staying at the adorable Apple Chalet
This house has everything you need! Great place for a family traveling with pets. The game room had a lot of options to choose from and the yard was perfect for our dogs. Beautiful home, cozy, and great location by the lake.
Super cute bungalow style house. Very tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Good location for visiting wineries.

Best place!!
This is one of the best BNB's I've stayed at! It's beautiful with lots of fun spaces to hang out, patio areas for having wine and a fun game room! And it's really comfortable with lots of thoughtful amenities, great A/C for comfortable sleeping, an electric vehicle charger for my car and fencing to let dogs roam safely. It's also close to the lake and wineries, I'm definitely coming back!!

Can’t wait to visit again!
This is a truly spectacular home in Pollock Pines. Pretty much every detail has been thought through to make it feel like you are walking into a home. A well stocked kitchen that has every appliance and kitchen tool you could want or need, very comfortable beds, great shower pressure and a fully fenced in yard that is where we & our pup spent almost all of our three days. We have stayed at several homes throughout the years and this house is the cleanest, hands down! Really close proximity to wineries, cider tasting & apple hill activities. Only a 5 mile drive to Safeway and Starbucks to stock up. We will absolutely be back!
