Excellent spa

Exceptional spa and a lovely service. Everything is designed to make one's stay comfortable and beneficial for their health and well-being. The carpets needs refreshing, which is my only recommendation.

A Five-Star Hotel? Hardly. I paid approximately $3,700 USD for my stay at Grand Hotel Pomorie, expecting the standard and service you would reasonably associate with a modern five-star hotel. What I experienced was nowhere close. The hotel is in a shocking state of disrepair and cleanliness. The hallways are dirty, the carpets are heavily stained, wallpaper is peeling, and there are stains on the walls and curtains. The room itself looked neglected and poorly maintained—hardly what one expects after paying a five-star price. And then there was the check-in experience. The lady at reception was genuinely helpful and polite, but she was apparently the only employee available to check everyone in, resulting in a wait of roughly an hour and a half. Apparently, at this “five-star” hotel, having enough staff to greet arriving guests and assist with luggage is an optional extra. The contrast between what is advertised and what guests actually encounter is extremely disappointing. A hotel charging this kind of money should not require guests to overlook stained carpets, peeling wallpaper, poor upkeep, long check-in queues, and an overall feeling of neglect. I have extensive photographs documenting the condition of the property and room, so unfortunately this isn't simply a matter of differing expectations. For a property presenting itself as five-star, the experience was anything but. Five-star prices, decidedly not five-star standards.

Not worth the cost, but great location and breakfa

It seems at one point this was really a 5* hotel. However, it has been run down. Yet, great location, nice breakfast, staff is super friendly, polite, helpful. Has little parking on site, the rest is offsite. Because of the overall condition of the room I do not think it is worth the 141€/nigh for the smallest room.

Terrible property for 5 stars, smells like mold, there was no ac . They said is working and it was so hot in the room, the staff is extremely unfriendly- charge for coffee in the room also. No free parking and those bugs are everywhere upfront of hotel and inside, also balcony great view , but very old and huge spiders at night

We will never come again

The AC barely worked and when it let out air it smelled of smoke. There were ants in our room. The staff was not very service minded. You had to pay for the sun beds on the beach. They claimed to have a lot of facilities (e.g., minigolf, tennis) but there was no signs of that. A fourth of the facilities in the spa didn’t work. Seems like this hotel had it’s glory days 20 years ago.

The hotel needs improvements , customer service was great, specially in restaurant. Thank you to Ani, Valentine and others cooks and servers. Please forgive me for the names. Evenings and lunches, restaurant do not provide tap water to customers. We must to buy bottled water in plastics if we are trusty and this situation was very disappointing to us. The problem was that not choice to buy a glass bottle water. The food taste was great and there was good choice, but nothing like last year and previous years before. Overall, was not so bad, but nothing like before. Thank to people who works there very hard.

You also have to pay BGN 30 for the beach! EVERYTHING IS paid separately from the price for the hotel, beach, spa center, food... The level is very low!! There is no one at the reception in the evening!! Nina Kondova, the manager (screaming, hysterical woman who ruined my whole vacation from the first day!! The first day she made me go down to the reception half-naked, after I called from the room next to me, asking them to send someone to open the door for me because I had locked myself. The a friend visited me for a few hours and she was screaming on the phone that I should pay him 65 more because he came to see me see for an hour is the hotel.. No respect! Very bad service! They don't create a calm atmosphere, only stress!

Our room was huge and the twin beds were both small doubles. The bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Bath robes and slippers were provided. The sea view from the balcony was fabulous. The buffet meals had a fantastic selection and plenty of it! Tea and coffee was freely available at breakfast as well as juices and water. All the staff were friendly and the restaurant staff were exceptional. There is a walkway that leads directly onto the beach so no crossing the road! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Staff does absolute bare minimum to get by

Early 2000s - build clean property with good location - comparable to a Sheraton property which is good. All rooms have seaview. Service however was bare minimum. I give an example - front desk ordered a cab the day before for 0800 pick up the next day for one of my guests. I called the front desk at 0755 and I asked them if the taxi arrived. They replied I DO NOT KNOW and were ready to hang up. I insisted that they walk to the door to look through the glass if the yellow cab had arrived, and that was met with much surprise and almost indignation. Also we had electronic keys problems, and only later found out that we were given a room with a metal key even though the property knew they had electronic lock problems and had other rooms with e-key working. A normal thing would be to fix the rooms with e-key problems first, and in the meantime offer fully-working rooms to guests until the problem is fixed. I might be pushing it a bit, but I do not think this is unreasonable In a nutshell, if service improved it could actually be a lovely place. I honestly hope they fix the service as I sincerely enjoyed the location and I would go back
