"The hotel was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The in-room shower was powerful with plenty of hot water, although the shower head was fixed at waist height, meaning you had to hold it while showering. Communal areas felt a little shabby in places, though they were generally clean. It was disappointing that bottled water was charged to the room, which didn’t feel justified given the overall price; however, staff were attentive and removed this charge at checkout when raised. Breakfast offered a good selection, but the hot food was often lukewarm. That said, when we mentioned it, the staff were extremely helpful and quick to try and resolve the issue. Overall, it served its purpose as a centrally located place to stay, but it didn’t feel worth the nightly rate. The hotel is a bit tired and would benefit from some redecoration."

"Be warned there is a night club on the ground floor of the building which plays loud music until 1-2am I stayed on a Thursday so wasn’t expecting to be kept awake by this, but alas. Just worth noting."

"It’s close to the train station, so for taking the train, it is convenient. The main part of town, where most restaurants and places of interest are, is a short walk away. The room is a good size and the bed is very comfortable. Facilities are great - including a working kitchen with range, fridge, microwave and even a dishwasher. The bathroom is functional, perhaps a bit spartan. There is a slight unpleasant smell from the drain (I think it’s from the sink). Other than that, no complaints."

"Currently very dirty. I felt so sorry for the cleaners I made sure to leave a 5 Euro per day tip for their hard work but even the best cleaners could not keep up with the dirt around this property currently. There is messy reconstruction of the onsite pool, a big port construction project right across the street and a total remodel of a big hotel next door. Plus sand from the beach blows in and people do not clean up after their dogs on the sidewalk to the beach. Yuck. Many dogs in hotel shed hair that gets on your clothes. Parents hold infants in dirty clothes over the food in the breakfast room while filling their plates. No screens on windows."

"The facilities are extremely basic. There was no coffee or tea, water boiler, hair dryer provided, just some dirty paper cups. I also found hair in the sink. Essentially, all you get is a bed with pillows, but even the bed sheets were dirty."
