「This was a good nights sleep but on an old mattress. Carpets are old and as such, are hard to clean well. Bring slippers. The bathroom was spotless and so that made for a pleasant experience. The restaurant looked good but we had other plans. Parking was very convenient – right in front of the unit. A/C was not needed but the heating worked well and quietly.」

「The cottage was well represented. Ours had two rooms and was up on a tall hill overlooking the water (water unaccessible). The cottages are directly off the highway and close to the Canso causeway (start of Cape Breton). A town is nearby with all the supplies you could need. The cottage has very basic amenities for the kitchen and such. Ours was $311 for early September, which was on the high side, but we wanted this sort of a place to stay, and not a chain hotel. 「The view of the ocean was from his home, not the room we were staying in. The walk down to the ocean was a very old trail that was overgrown. It was not what we expected. Others might enjoy this, but we did not.」
