“Fabulous views, awesome house. We loved walking into the large dining room table that is open to the living room area and views beyond that with the kitchen open to the left of the dining room we were all gathered around for meal prep and meals. Sitting on the deck after dinner with the fire pit playing trivia was a highlight for our group. (the owners made sure to stock extra propane tanks so you won't run out during your stay). “Charming and well-designed English basement apartment in a perfect central location. It’s in walking distance to the shops and restaurants in charming downtown Staunton. It’s worth pointing out that all descriptions on short-term rental apps says more or less what this one does. This one actually is as described. The furniture is even in good shape! “Nick’s place was a wonderful getaway and had everything we needed and more. My personal favorite was sitting on the front porch to take in the views of the mountains in the distance! From sunsets to low clouds rolling through, it was a delight! We took day trips to Shenandoah and Monticello. Maybelle’s right down the street was very convenient for fueling up and grabbing whatever we needed/forgot back home. Thank you for a lovely stay!”

“The house overall was good. The upkeep could have been a lot better. There are a few boards on the floor that are coming up. There is a brick that is loose in the family room. In the hallway bathroom, the rack on the wall is broken(a screw is missing) It did feel like the house(inside and outside) was not professionally cleaned in awhile. We came across a few spider webs and spiders in a few corners of the house. We couldn't really enjoy the outside scenery because there were spider webs……

“We had a big crowd-6 adults and 5 children (one baby) and we fit perfectly. Plenty of games to keep the children occupied and happy. We played the Meme game with the family and loved it.The hot tub was fantastic for Gaga and Grandpa and the other adults enjoyed it when their kiddos went to bed.The sunrise over the distant mountain range was beautiful each morning. There are few VRBOs that I'd want to stay in again, but Deer Haven is one of them.”
