Great Home with Great Location

Our family had a fantastic stay! Not only was the house as advertised, but it was also located in a gated community which we did not realize. It was safe and protected to leave personal belongings out overnight.The home was accommodating for an infant as there was a high chair and pack n play on the location. With having 10 people stay at the house the separate ice maker was a fantastic amenity of the home!

The property was nice. Hot tub, pool and elevator was good, kitchen excellent. Some things were needed to be updated like hot tub cover, maintenance on hammock. All and all the neighborhood was good. My only concern is the spraying around property during the stay and especially when dogs go Around that area. Property management was very responsive. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Some small issues (very small!) 1) some fruit flies cane out of sink our first day & stuck around for much of our stay 2) beach access was washed out so had some difficulties getting out to the beach, but we managed 😉 3) animal feces (diarrhea) on back steps Again, none of this was a show stopper! We truly enjoyed our stay at xanadu!

Good North Cape option

Overall- good rental for the cost in North Cape area. Bunk bedroom doesn’t have a bath attached and listing includes the outdoor shower on ground level. Kitchen was not stocked as well as expected. Jacuzzi was not functional with no response to request for an offset. Ice maker was missing a filter that we had to notify management about and wasn’t brought out until Monday morning. Second fridge referenced is a small wine/drink cooler. Pool was great and screened in porches were a big hit. Short walk for beach access.

Nautical Sky Secluded Dunes - January 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Nautical Sky property was beautiful, well maintained and located in a beautiful area of Cape San Blass. The Secluded Dunes community is right next to the state park and very quiet. Several times we saw bucks with antlers in our yard and the general area. This our fourth trip to CSB in two years but this is our first time renting from Cape and Coast. The staff were great. When we contacted them with questions or asked for help, they responded immediately and took care of us ASAP. We will definitely use Cape & Coast for future trips to this beautiful paradise.

The mattress in the Master bedroom needs to be replaced (it is so soft that when you lay down it feels as if it swallows you) and the box spring in the queen bedroom squeaks every time you move. Other than that, the house, location, the amenities, everything is wonderful.

Love This House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I absolutely loved this house! It was super clean and in great condition. The layout was fantastic and having only one floor to deal with was definitely a plus!! We had a party of 9 and had plenty of room. The giant table was really, really great with room for everyone. The hot tub was by far the favorite over the pool, but both were awesome. We also loved having a bathroom on the ground level. It was so convenient! We were so grateful to be allowed use of beach boardwalk of the house in front us. We did, however end up mostly walking through the empty lot down the street because we didn’t want to crowd the family that was staying in the house. We love Cape San Blas and had a lovely vacation. The only drawbacks were the kitchen items such as the bowls, utensils and pots and pans could use some updating.. it was kind of a hodge podge of different items. And, it would be so helpful to label the exact remote and button to push to turn on the TVs. There were SIX remotes in the bowl and we had no clue which one to use. We had to call the rental company to help us and still we never got one of the TVs in the bedroom to work. However those are very trivial things in the scheme of how great this house is!! We have been coming to the Cape for 6 years now and this house was definitely one of the favorites!!

Very close easy walk to beach and plenty of seating by the pool on non-beach days. Quiet and very private 1st tier location.

(9 total with 2 kids) This is our sixth year to the cape and our first time in Nautical sky. The house was much bigger than it seems and one level which was great for the kids and grandparents. The refrigerator on the ground level was a great touch. There was construction going on where you would access the beach. So the neighbor allowed us to use their boardwalk but it did have a good bit of stairs. Only issues we had was the elevator made a beeping noise all week that was not resolved (maintenance came the first day we called in a timely fashion and again the next day) Also the wifi did not work after the first day. ( I didn't mind being able to disconnect but the grandparents did) Overall great home and great experience!

Night time delight pool lights

BITTER SWEET AWESOME RENTAL!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: THE SWEET!: Without a doubt, Nautical Sky is an awesome CUSTOM BUILT HOME! One level, elevator, pool! GROUND LEVEL: Huge storage area, Rest Room, A 2nd Full sized refrigerator/freezer, Hot/Cold outdoor showers (2!), Fish Clean Station, Enormously large full shaded parking area, tasteful paver driveway and pool deck. MAIN LEVEL: Excellent large spacious floor plan! A newer home with the latest in all appliances including a wine cooler and an ice machine that produces a lot of ice! The easiest to load in and out of beach house I have ever rented! The original sand road was under constant construction during our stay. Concrete curb and permeable Bahama Stone top coat being added! It too will be awesome once completed! THE BITTER: Only 2 issues! 1) I specifically chose this rental due to the described and assigned relatively short and level deeded beach access sandy path! At age 73, the wife and I cannot handle long multi staired boardwalks well. Hurricane Michael took away the original boardwalk beach access assigned to this rental and a home builder has now blocked the remaining "deeded beach access sandy path (18 feet wide)" with a dumpster and construction equipment. We were advised the day of our departure of this bad news! We were instructed to use a neighbors boardwalk across the street. It was nice but very long and contained steep stairs/steps and I was not comfortable imposing on even a gracious neighbor. As fate would have it, my son knew the neighbor and we adjusted. The plan is to restore the assigned beach access for Nautical Sky in the future, but until then.. IT HAS NO REAL BEACH ACCESS! 2) Surprisingly, as new as this rental is, all of the mattresses are shot! Spooned out, soft, spongy and noisy. Not unbearable but not comfortable nor to the standard this otherwise awesome custom home deserves!Cape and Coast could have been more timely and up front with the beach access and road contruction issues! Beautiful Beach Rental - Loved Heated Pool!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well-designed floorplan with great amenities. Overall, house felt very new and clean. We loved the heated pool (paid $375 extra to heat). But be prepared that much of the area is under construction--although it didn't really bother us; kids actually liked to watch--seems likely to continue into 2022. The road isn't even paved yet. Also, hurricane destroyed the public beach access near this house and it has not been rebuilt (nor any signs it will be soon). Make friends with neighbors to use their beach access, or else it will be a long trek. Hot tub gave us issues throughout the stay--difficult to get & stay hot. The pool maintenance guy seemed to think it was because the filter was due to be changed, so I would suggest that the rental company switch to more frequent changes (we were told they are only changed yearly). But, overall, I would recommend this beach rental--it lived up to the pictures!

Just a hot mess

The property is beautiful and the proximity to the beach is great. From the pictures we looked up of the property on Google we fully expected the construction. While there within the first 2 days we lost water, out of anyone's hands. It came back on but there was a boil order that we were not told about and the pressure was really awful. We had to look up the water company to try and see any announcements they had and that is when we found the boil order. We were told everyone was going to be called the following day that we lost water to see what our options would be. We still should have gotten those options as we had a boil order with 5 children with us that could not even brush their teeth without boiled water. We had to go and find a lot of bottled water for the amount of people we had which was fine but the fact that we were not even told about the boil order is a HUGE problem. I also called maintenance after we got in to let them know about some issues with the house. None of the tvs had cable and the TV in the kids room didn't even work as it was missing a power cord. We would need those if the weather ever was bad. It was never remedied. Overall the home is what we expected but our stay really was not. I know some things are out of peoples hands but the way it was handled makes me never want to come back.
