The facilities were generally as expected, but it was startling the issues we came across with the hotel staff. At check in, the concierge repeatedly said I had not paid for the room and I had not been charged, despite my showing receipts through both my credit card and Expedia. He refused to look further or listen, and wouldn't even look at me. Eventually the other concierge offered to look through something on the computer and found my payment. After the inconvenience, we just given our keys without any apology or anything. My guests and I were baffled and offended by the interaction.
The following morning we arrived at breakfast roughly 40 minutes before it was over and found very few items still in stock. Then, as we were getting our food, two employees had an open, loud argument about whether one employee was allowed to get food yet. They yelled about who was in charge, who had been there longer, etc. After the argument cooled down, one employee came over to our table and apologized for the intrusion ... then continued to argue for some time about why she was right and how long she had been working at the hotel. She seemed like she had good intentions, but was such an awkward interaction all together.
I visit family in this area several times a year, and I don't think I'll be staying here again.
