「This hotel was rated 4 stars. While the people who brought us breakfast were lovely and we appreciated it, this was far from a four star hotel. No shampoo just old half used body wash. No complete cleaning of the bathroom - a fly was left on the floor for five days, and the mattress, linens and pillows were very low quality. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the shower set up was actually dangerous with a two foot drop just past the toilet.」

「Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Pool was also lovely and clean.」
