Great space for a getaway
We very much enjoyed our stay at this location. The stairs were a bit scary, but with the light on, you'll be fine. :) Cozy spot for the three of us, well appointed and in a fantastic area. Very walkable, even down to the wharf. We are from a very non-walkable area, so it was amazing to see all the activity and places we could go just walking a bit. We enjoyed our first time in Maine, and can't wait to get back for a longer trip. Thanks to the hosts!

Perfect for what we needed!
We were staying in town for a wedding, the unit was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and had very new amenities. The only possible negative I could think of was that the stairs were a bit steep.

Great stay in Portland!
We had an amazing three night stay in Portland. The condo was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Since we had two dogs, they had left dog bowls for our pups. The location is great. We were able to go out and explore the city and try out all the amazing food and drinks. I highly recommend this property.

Another great stay!
This was my third stay with the hosts and it was amazing as always! Super clean, very good communication and loved the location of the rental. One of my favorite things is the welcome snacks & drinks that are left upon your arrival. I cannot wait to be back already!

Great Stay in Portland
We had a great weekend celebrating our anniversary! We loved the West End location. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. We discovered the West Promenade for walking the dog! The communication with the owner was great and they made us feel very welcomed. We, myself, my wife and our dog Finley would highly recommend this rental for a weekend visit to Portland!

Great place and location!
We loved our stay! Being dog friendly was extremely important, they even had bowls set up for our pup! The neighborhood was great and in the best location. The unit was clean and homey, and our hosts were extremely responsive! Looking forward to another stay.

Wonderful All Around
My wife and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Communication with the owners was very clear and straightforward. There were no hiccups in getting setup at the residence, and we really enjoyed our stay. The home is cozier than the pictures portray, and we really appreciated a rental that had pretty nice pots and pans! Of course, the location was perfect, and we could easily walk into downtown Portland and Old Port a couple times each day! Overall, we really don't have any complaints about our stay.

Just Right!
This apt. is clean, cute and has everything you need. We felt right at home and were comfortable. It is convenient to the Art Museum, The Victorian Mansion and The Longfellow House. Only a short walk to shopping, dining and the wharf. Parking is close by but you don’t need a car in Portland Old City. This was a great find.

Cute & Cozy, Great Location, Wonderful Hosts!
We loved our stay here! The location was great. It’s walkable to many shops and restaurants, and about a mile to downtown and Old Port. The place is small, but has everything you need! We stayed with our two large dogs which admittedly was a little tight, but do-able! The area felt safe and hip. But the hosts- they are awesome! Great communication- parking location changed and they were very open about it- and I had trouble with a lock one night and they answered right away! And they were so sweet and generous with little extras like champagne (we celebrated a mini-moon), local beer and a ball for the pups! We had a great experience and would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

A very comfortable stay!
Pine street is a great location and a very well-maintained space. The unit was clean and the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway. Steps away from Hot Suppa too, which is a must try! Thank you for everything!

Great location.
Great location close to all the right sights in Portland. Kitchen was well stocked and convenient. The bedroom and bath are upstairs. The bedroom was inviting, and I even found a desk to do some painting. The apartment is newly updated. It was the perfect size for the two of us.

Clean and comfortable; nice location.
The property is located on a quiet residential street but within easy walking distance to anything you would need. It is spotless and very well equipped. Owners have done much to make you feel at home. They go above and beyond to ensure your comfort right down to amenities you wouldn’t think are necessary but come in very handy such as writing pads , pens, Q-tips, cotton balls, coffee, shampoo, etc…. All items you don’t normally find in a rental. Very enjoyable stay in Portland

Great location in portland
This apartment is perfectly located in central portland with multiple restaurant options and museums steps away. Want to get to the waterfront- just a nice walk with views of the bay is a fun activity.

Great stay & location
We had the best time at Megan & Jason's apartment. The apartment is very clean, nicely furnished and comfortable for my husband, our dog and I. We loved the welcome gifts - prosecco, snacks, and a tennis ball for our dog - and a food and water bowl was provided, which was a plus. The location is great - so many restaurant options within walking distance, plenty of convenience stores in case you forgot anything or wanted to pick up some basic groceries. The biggest plus was having an assigned parking spot - all the street parking in the area have parking rules so having a parking spot was a relief to not have to move our car constantly. We had an issue checking in and both Megan and Jason were so quick to get back to us and get us into the apartment - it was an easy fix and they were so great about it it the whole time. We will definitely be staying again.

Perfect Stay in Portland
If you're visiting Portland, look no further....this is the one you want. This place is in the super charming West End neighborhood, within walking distance to the Arts District, Old Port & the beautiful Western Promenade. We even spent one afternoon slowly picking our way over to the East End Beach on foot - Portland really is very walkable. We liked this neighborhood because it's close to everything but not right in the middle of the more busy touristy areas. It's a very peaceful retreat after a great day of sightseeing. Jason & Megan have thought of everything - just bring some clothes & show up. I've stayed in several VRBO's and this was by far one of my favorites. Their place is really well stocked, clean, and they're super responsive. They were in touch before our stay, made sure we got checked in okay the day of, and sent a message at the end of our stay thanking us for choosing them, always making sure we knew they were available if we needed anything. They've even put together a very thoughtful local guide - you can tell they really love Portland and genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. We definitely enjoyed ours!

Good location. Clean. Easy walk to the pier. Safe area. All dishes needed. Laundry on site - bonus! Downside, (can't be helped) is the only bathroom is up 15 steep stairs.

Expectations fell short
The hosts were very attentive and easy to reach. However, the property needs some serious upgrades. The carpet is awful and the bathroom needs to be completely renovated! Location is very central, but a bit sketchy with homelessness at the corner and at the park. I would not stay in this part of town again, sorry!

Hi Lucy, thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. We are so sorry you felt this way! While we are in the midst of renovating all of our units, we felt as though we furnished this one to be as up to date as it could be with all new furnishings and appliances. We also feel that the photos provided, as many others have mentioned, are pretty true to how the apartment shows. With that said, we always strive for 5 stars...you were wonderful guests during your stay which is why we didn't say much when you folks were 1.5 hours beyond our checkout policy and we had to pay our cleaner more because of it. We wish we had known you were not enjoying your stay and we could have helped to make your experience a better one. It's unfortunate you felt it was a 3 star stay...

We had such a wonderful time staying here. It was in a perfect location that allowed us to easily walk most places we wanted to go and introduced us to restaurants that have become new favorites. Everything about the process was very easy. The apartment had a very modern, clean feel and was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again. Wonderful hosts!

Fantastic location- lovely home
Had a lovely 3 night stay in Portland, while visiting with family. My parents, sister and I stayed here for 3 nights- and found the home to be the perfect mix of convenient to all downtown activities, and tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. It was for sure a but tight with four adults, but we totally knew that going in (honestly, I expected it to be even more of a squeeze- but the bedroom was very spacious! And we easily could have used the blow up mattress in addition to pull out couch if we wanted to spread out more). The decor was just as pictured, and wifi was fast/ loved having access to the smart TV to relax after a day of seeing the city. The apartment is very well stocked- coffee, creamer, basic cooking supplies, lots of extra towels/blankets, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and even items like an umbrella and hair dryer were available. Hosts were also super responsive and had an awesome guide books with recs for activities and places to eat. We had drinks around the corner at LFK (amazing) and dinner at Pei Men Miyaki (bomb ramen) right next door, which was a huge plus to be able to grab a bite nearby. The only thing I would mention is that there is a slightly steep staircase to get from first floor with living room/kitchen to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. This was not a major issue during our stay, but my father who has just had knee surgery had to take that pretty slowly (totally manageable, just something to note if you have small kids or weak knee folk like we did). Between the convenience of location, lovely homey touches, awesome/responsive hosts and reasonable price to top it all off, I would absolutely recommend this spot for your stay in Portland.

Short stay in Portland
We used this apartment as a “home base” for a visit with family in the Portland area. The apartment was extremely well stocked, organized., and accessible.The location worked well for our needs. We were joined by our daughters on the last night and found the apartment to be a little small for 4 adults, but perfect for two!

Adorable place
Thank you, Jason and Megan for a wonderful time. The cute chalk board greeting and Prosecco were such a nice touch. Your place is adorable, neat, clean, and came with all necessary items. All we needed to pack were our clothes!!! This was our first time away from our one year old and we greatly enjoyed staying here and enjoying some time together.

Great location and space!
We had a great time staying at this rental on Pine Street. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. So many amenities so close - within VERY easy walking distance. Cute space for two adults - it was nice the bedroom so upstairs and so separate from the down. Stairs are a bit steep but we have same at home so no problem there. It was nice that it was on the ground floor for our carry on luggage. Jason responded to any inquiries very quickly. Rent their place - you won’t regret it!

Great location
The location was excellent (so many cafes and restaurants in short walking distance) and the place was well-equipped and well-decorated. The space was a bit smaller than we imagined (based on the photos) and a little tight with our 1 year old, but it still worked! Communication with the host was great and they left a few personal touches that made us feel very welcome!
