Really nice stay! This place has a vibe. The soaking pool is really enjoyable. I almost didn't reserve due to not having a bathroom in the room, however it was completely reasonable using the shared bathroom space. The bathroom was spotless.

I loved the style and vibes of this hotel! I personally love staying in quirky funky places and this met the mark for me- but for guests who need more privacy or easy and accessible parking, I'd skip this pla. The location is great for exploring downtown Portland, two blocks from Powell's and close to so many shops!

A fun and quirky place to stay near great restaurants, bars and Powell’s Bookstore. The large, hot soaking tub is amazing. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel itself was fine, rooms were put together tragically. At least the room we had, we had to move stuff to move stuff to get around. No flow to the room itself. Windows wouldn’t stay open unless you propped them up and of course, there was nothing provided to do so ( we asked twice ). besides that, it was. Nothing great, just fine.

The rooms were clean and fully stocked with clean towels. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a great experience. I love staying at any of the McMeniman's hotels but the Crystal was truly special.

Staff was kind and accommodating, when I told the bartender my budget he immediately pointed me towards a local bar that was within my price range. The underground pool was very interesting even though I didn't use it those who did loved it. That being said my room was very dusty, the AC filters were caked in dust. The bathrooms were clean enough but they are 4-6 per floor instead of in the room. I would heavily advise bringing shower shoes and trunks/bathing suit for the showers and underground pool. To summarize I enjoyed my stay and would heavily recommend it especially if you have a love of history. It is also within walking distance of the Union Station and Roseland Theater.

The place is wonderful. Very historic, walking distance from a lot of fun stuff, the rooms are cute and the beds are comfortable. Bring some sandals or something, you share bathrooms with everyone on the floor. The soaking tub was lovely. The wines were fantastic. The cocktails in Al's were wonderful. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Probably the best experience I've had in a hotel.

What a unique little gem of a hotel. It's in a building from 1911, so it's quirky, old, and squeaky, but has charm and is updated with a funky decor.. The room was small but clean and perfectly fine with a mix of funky and old fashioned. Downside was it just had sink and there were four shared bathrooms on each floor - but I guess that's how they did things 115 years ago. You have to decide if no bathroom is a deal breaker. Staff was nice and friendly. There's a restaurant/bar, a basement bar where they had a comedy show going on. There's even a basement swimming pool. Good location. Nice to experience something different.

I never leave reviews but this whole experience was so incredible its worth it! Nothing like ive ever experienced before. People were great, the pool was amazing and the staff were so catering! Loved all of it! Made me want to go back to Portland!
