  • Right in the heart of the city with great access and in an area with all kinds of restaurants and services, Old Fabulous World keeps all the original Portuguese design in a protected building over 200 years old, where the Portuguese writer Joaquim Antunes Leitão was born in 1875. This apartment has been decorated in a very personal and welcoming way, and is also a second family residence. It is an apartment with a maximum capacity for 4 people, with two bedrooms with a double bed.

This place is totally idyllic. Central, but top floor so it feels up-and-away from everything. Walkable to all the places you want to go, but just outside the main tourist area.The only thing I'd change is that some of the doors are hard to close, so privacy is less guaranteed than you'd typically expect.

Hope you don't have to find out the HARD WAY!

Upon arrival, we noticed that someone had urinated on the door to the building that had not been cleaned, needless to say that it was always a delight to get in/out of the building. The apartment itself is old and falling apart, especially the furniture. Use the bed at your own risk. Check the listing carefully, even though it states 2 bathrooms (sometimes even 3) it is in fact 1 bathroom - Toilet and sink in one room and shower and sink in another. NOTE: VRBO will not stand by you even though the landlord is blatantly false advertising. The shower does not drain and had not been cleaned from the previous rental. The apartment is on the corner of two busy streets right in the heart of the action. That being said, you can hear people partying until the morning thus making it very hard to sleep. I would not stay here again. Check out was super easy - put the keys in the lock box, flip the bird and your off!
