Good points:- 1) Hotel was in a good location, close to the Balhão Market, Metro station, shops and restaurants 2) Friendly staff 3) Clean Less good points:- 1) Check in chaotic. Reception staff could’ve been more efficient. Complimentary port wine not offered to all guests on arrival 2) Hot water was hit & miss 3) One bottle of complimentary water on first night only despite 2 person occupancy 4) Breakfast service was low quality and same every day. Slow replenishment of foodstuffs with guests having to wait for service 5) Some guests did not respect the obvious signs for silence at night thereby disturbing others at night/early morning. Doors slamming etc 3* budget hotel so expectations weren’t high. Probably would look to stay elsewhere if returning to Porto

I had a great stay at this hotel in Porto. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, which made it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast included with the booking. The buffet had a very good selection of food, including fresh pastries, fruit, cold cuts, and hot items like eggs and sausages. Everything was fresh and well presented, and it was a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore Porto. The hotel also had reliable Wi-Fi and a relaxing atmosphere. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were happy to give recommendations for places to visit in the city.

Staff was always available (24 hrs), pleasant, and informative, breakfast was ample and a good variety, rooms were clean and spacious, in historic very hilly part of Lisbon so be aware, legs will get a work out, can feel a little sketchy at night bc of all the dark ally ways that are not all well lit, but never truly felt unsafe, but would not want to walk through there too late. There were always staff on hand, rooms cleaned thoroughly, and staff maintained courtyard daily. I liked the hotel a lot just wish it was a bit closer to tourist areas.

A very good location, right on the Main Street of the city and within walking distance to a metro station -150 m. List of dining options around. The staff at the reception was a very friendly and helpful. There was a water leakage problem in our bathroom and they moved us to a bigger room. Would stay again

A nice, clean and comfortable hotel in a great, central location which meant the city centre and key sites were within easy walking distance. Two metro stations were a 10 minute walk away, for access to public transport/the airport. Staff were lovely and friendly and there is 24 HR reception. The breakfast buffet was really good, with fresh baked bread and homemade cakes as well as lots of savoury/healthy options including both salad and fresh fruit and yoghurt. Inside the hotel, soundproofing must be really good because the hotel was busy, but we never heard a thing! Of course, being on a busy street in the city centre, there was some street noise, which is to be expected - we like to sleep with windows open, but with closed windows noise is probably minimal. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend the Casual Raizes!
