This villa was so amazing

This villa was so amazing! The view from the private balcony is incredible. Each room is spacious and very clean. It was like having an apartment on the Amalfi Coast for a week. The owner is so nice and easy to work with. The dinner he cooked for us was one of the best meals I've ever had! We loved helping him cook and it was a very special evening!

Amazing terrace with spectacular views

Amazing terrace with spectacular views. Spacious and roomy layout. Less steps than average, a tad farther from the lower pedestrian area of the town. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

We had 3 couples stay in this incredible property. Baldassare, the owner, chef, and host was amazing. Very attentive and helped with any question we had. The property is located in the perfect spot just up from the main road that goes through town right by the stairs leading down to the main beach. Couldn’t have been happier with the location. We spent every evening enjoying an aperitif on the amazing veranda with the most spectacular views. If you book you have to have the chef come and cook for you, incredible food and such a unique experience. I will be coming back to Positano and won’t hesitate to book this home again.

Our stay at Villa Mitrea was outstanding

Our stay at Villa Mitrea was outstanding. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. We started our stay with the owner cooking us an amazing meal of many appetizers, cheese, pasta, chicken and pork along with outstanding wine. A great way to start of stay in Positano. The apartment was clean and having 3 full bathrooms was a plus with 3 couples sharing the apartment. The location was also great with easy access to the beach and all the shops. The owner was very helpful and met us when we arrived to welcome us to his apartment. All in all it was a great experience. I highly recommend staying at Villa Mitrea. My experience with Summer In Italy was very positive.

Villa Mitrea was AMAZING, and enjoyed every minute of our stay

Villa Mitrea was AMAZING, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Clean and spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Gourmet kitchen, jacuzzi, separate bathrooms for each bedroom, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth stereo. It's within walking distance of everything you would want to do in Positano as well as the ferry to Capri and Sorrento. I wouldn't change a thing, we'd go back in a heartbeat, as it was far more than we even expected! If these are the properties you have to offer folks who are traveling to Italy, you're all set. :)

We loved Villa Mitrea and we are looking forward to returning to the beautiful villa. The villa has an outstanding view from all rooms, great location for many great restaurants. Do not hesitate book this villa. Baldassare the owner of the villa is an outstanding host. We were lucky enough to hire him for dinner since he is an incredible chef with his su chef Gina. Schedule a dinner with him before you go it was one of the highlights of our trip. We will be back, thank you so much! Everyone at Summer In Italy was so helpful. They helped me reserve Baldassare for our dinner. We loved every minute of our vacation. We will be back. Thank you so much for all of your help, always a pleasant experience when speaking with the team.

A Perfect Stay

Our stay at the property was absolutely wonderful, and our host Baldassarre was so gracious. The property has a very large balcony, with great views of the water and is significantly larger than most balconies from what I can tell. The hot tub (rare for a property in this location) also had views of the water. The property was located close to coffee, restaurants and pretty much anything you would need in Positano. Being less than 5 minutes walking distance to wonderful restaurants was a must have, considering the steepness of Positano in general and cost of taxis. 15 minutes walking distance to the heart of the shopping and beach, including ferries to nearby areas such as Amalfi. Please inquire about the private chef dinner. It was quite spectacular, with fresh food from the chef's farm and wine from his private collection including special aged wine. Quite an unforgettable experience and I would not consider staying anywhere else if this property were available for our next trip. Best for 3 couples but felt like the right size for our 4 adults.

This villa was absolutely perfect

This villa was absolutely perfect - and the terrace is incredible. It is exactly how it looks in photos (but better!). The AC in the bedrooms works really well, the kitchen has many essentials (you feel like you are in a family members kitchen) and the hot tub was nice to relax in - especially after hiking the path of the Gods! We had the owner/chef prepare a meal for us and our only wish is that we had booked a second night. Balda is so kind/fun - and such an amazing chef! Our dishes included octopus salad, stuffed zucchini blossoms, lemon shrimp pasta, sea bass - all using his own honey, olive oil, vegetables - plus his wine! Balda truly made our visit one we will never forget! He was super responsive via What's App and gave us great suggestions for dinner, drinks, etc - and even helped us with transportation one day. We WILL be back to stay with him!! Summer In Italy was super responsive to all my questions - very professional and helpful!

This villa was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed

This villa was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. It is impeccably maintained. There are so many pieces that are incredibly interesting in the villa itself and it has the most amazing view of Positano. It is walking distance to everything. There were a couple of rainy days during our stay and there was nothing better than soaking in the jacuzzi and watching the ocean and rain outside. The villa has an amazing wine cellar, everything you can possibly need in the kitchen, and very comfortable bedrooms. We spent the majority of time in the terrace which is like a dream. Baldassare is one of the best reasons to rent this incredible villa. His attention to detail and care in everything he does. He is so proud of the villa and the town of Positano. We were able to spend time with Baldassare as he cooked for us an incredible meal and introduced us to the wines in his cellar. Summer In Italy was incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and overall a great experience. We found Summer In Italy when we found Villa Mitrea. All of our correspondence was easy, their website made it easy to register, pay, and keep up with all the necessary details of the stay and they were great in providing recommendations for transportation and things to do. We will be booking with Summer In Italy again!

Villa Mitrea offered the perfect oasis for our family’s Positano adventure

Villa Mitrea offered the perfect oasis for our family’s Positano adventure! We absolutely loved this villa — from the incredible location to the sprawling terrace with the iconic Amalfi Coast view, every detail was nothing short of spectacular. Each room was spacious and comfortable, the entire villa was extremely clean, there was a full kitchen with all the little luxuries, and even on-site laundry. One of our most memorable nights was having the owner of Villa Mitrea, who is a chef and sommelier, in for a dinner and wine pairing experience. He cooked an incredible multi-course menu, served it on the stunning terrace, and not only was it one of our best meals in Italy, but it is one of our favorite memories from the entire trip. A definite must do! All in all, we would highly recommend staying at this villa in Positano. Everything was great and the attention to detail in this villa were top notch. This is our second time using Summer In Italy. I can't say enough good things about this team. They are extremely helpful and always get back to you in a prompt manner. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and they never make you feel uncomfortable about your questions. I was looking for a car service and they provided me with links for drivers in the area that I could reach out to. They are also helpful with restaurant and boating recommendations. I would use Summer In Italy again for any future bookings as they are reliable and trustworthy to deal with.

Villa Mitrea was exactly as advertised, the 6 of us had an amazing time. Chef Baldassarre was amazing from the time he greeted us, the meal he cooked for us, minor issues we had to deal with and our departure. Everything was great and we enjoyed our visit and amazing Villa in Positano. The team at Summer in Italy was great, from helping us find Villa Mitrea in the first place, suggestions while in the area to the overall communication and responsiveness it was first class. I have already recommended you to other people that I spoke to about our trip.

Our family of 6 had the most amazing week at Villa Mitrea

Our family of 6 had the most amazing week at Villa Mitrea. The photos do not do it justice. It is the most perfect villa in the best location. Away from the crowds but wonderful restaurants steps away. The terrace is an absolute dream come true. Spacious with the most incredible views, we spent so much time there and dream of returning. Balda is the most gracious host, and he cooked for us one night and it was so special. The delicious food from his farm and the lovely conversation was the absolute highlight of the vacation. Definitely stay here if you get the chance!

I loved this villa

I loved this villa. Everything about it was perfect. Everything is beautifully updated and the villa is so well maintained and it was spotlessly clean (we are germaphobes and really appreciated this). We booked Chef Balda to cook us dinner one night and I highly, highly recommend doing that! Thank you my friend, we really enjoyed. No room for improvement, everything was perfect. I really would love to stay at Villa Mitrea again some day! SummerInItaly were always very receptive and I appreciate your efforts.
