Welcome to Basic Becky, your no-frills home away from home! This cozy house may not be fancy, but it's got everything you need for a comfortable and restful stay. Whether you're traveling for work or leisure, Basic Becky offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere where you can unwind and recharge.

Featuring all the essential amenities, this house provides a comfortable place to sleep and relax. You'll find a cozy bedroom with a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. The living area is furnished with a comfortable couch and a TV, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring.

Basic Becky also includes a fully equipped kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals and save on dining out. The bathroom is clean and functional, providing all the necessary essentials.

While Basic Becky may not have extravagant features, it offers a budget-friendly option without compromising on comfort. With its convenient location and affordable pricing, Basic Becky is the perfect choice for travelers looking for a comfortable place to rest and recharge during their stay.

Our neighborhood is very walkable. A car is recommended to get to some KC attractions. Access to the highway is easy. Uber and Lyft are also very great options and easily available.

● As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. The cost of this protection has been included in your rental rate and fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay.
● The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $1,500 of coverage for accidental contents damage and accidental property damage. When checking out, please put all dirty dishes in dishwasher and start it. Collect all trash in the home and place it in the trash cans prior to check out. If trash and dishes are left out, additional cleaning charges may apply. Trash day is on Friday, If you are at the house on Thursday or Friday morning, please place the trash can on the curb. All linens are washed off site so please do not start a load of washing. Please do not make beds or fold towels that you have used. Just leave them as is or throw them in a big pile and we will come and collect them.

Basic is the right description
This house was fine - not bad, not great just fine. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, the AC and appliances all worked fine, it's spacious, the communication and arrangements were all smooth. We wished for a more attention to details that could make this a more comfortable stay, such as: towel bars and hooks for hanging things (there was only 1 towel bar in the whole house), night stands or dressers in the bedrooms (there was only one surface in each room), set of 8 dishes (house sleeps up to 8 but only dishes for 4), more pots and pans. The lack of these things gives the impression the owners did the minimum so they could make money, rather than having the needs of the guests in mind. It was fine for our 2-night stay, but we were glad it wasn't longer.

Great house! Quiet neighborhood.
This house was perfect for our stay of 5. Quiet neighborhood, but also close to anything you would need. The house was well stocked with the essentials and clean. The beds were comfy and the decor was nice. Great priced home! Would stay here again!

Decent and affordable
The location of the house was great, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The dining table was large. The washer and dryer were decently sized, and the kitchen had plenty of cabinet space. There were TVs in the living room and all the bedrooms, and the beds were pretty comfortable. Definitely wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been though. There was dust caked on like every single air vent in the whole house. We were there two weeks ago, and I am still sniffling and sneezing and having tons of phlegm. My daughter is feeling the same, and she has had some asthma symptoms since we were there. Her asthma is usually very well-controlled, but it is not so great right now. Also, the sheets on at least a couple of the beds had not been changed. The bed my son was in had little random crumbs and stuff in the sheets. When I got in my bed, I noticed a hair on the sheets. A gray hair, and I am not gray. I figured maybe it was from the housekeeper or something, so I got in the bed anyway. When I woke up in the morning, however, there were more hairs stuck to my pajamas. Hairs that were not mine and some hair that even looked like dog hair. It’s pretty gross sleeping on the same sheets as some random stranger. The yard was a decent size, but the grass was grown up a little too high for the kids to really be able to go out there and play. There was a ping-pong table in the garage, but there were no ping-pong balls. There were paddles though.

Turn around family trip!
We came to Kansas City to see our family. It’s our half way point meet up. We checked in on a Tuesday and left Thursday morning. My mom and dad who are in there 80’s. My two kiddos. 19 and 10 and myself. The beds were easy to sleep in for us. The living room was a nice place to meet up and visit. We spent a lot of time at the dining table playing games. The floor in the kitchen is not a good situation. At least not for my parents. They tripped a few time cause the floor is uneven and the foundation isn’t good. I wouldn’t not recommend if you shuffle to walk. The bathrooms are small. The one that is attached to the bedroom is very tight if you are a large person. We bbq hamburgers on the grill which worked really well. It rained while we were there and the ping pong table was in the garage and the floor got wet in there. The kitchen has all the basics you would need. If you are a larger group, you may need more pots and pans. We had a hard time cooking a family meal with only what was there. Over all we did enjoy this home. It fit our needs.

Weekend getaway
A very spacious home but had a few housekeeping things such as very minimal kitchen supplies for a house that sleeps eight! The trash outside was not taken care of which made it hard to know what to do with our trash. The master bathroom was also extremely tiny! The floor can be a tripping hazard in the kitchen! Overall it was not a terrible place to stay but really could have been kept up a little bite more! But one positive was they let us bring our dogs for a small pet fee. All in all not a terrible place just some minor details that could make or break a larger group staying here!

Great property and location
Property was located in a great place and the space was very open and nicely done. I would recommend a few more pots and pans for cooking, a sponge to wash dishes, and turning on the heat before a guest arrives. We enjoyed our stay a lot and it was great for our small children. The bedrooms were set up nicely and overall the unit looked clean. I do think some things were forgotten when they cleaned before we arrived as there was dirty laundry in the washer, the coffee grounds were still in the coffee pot from previous stay, and the trash was over flowing onto the ground outside so we didn't have room for adding trash. Overall very small things. The unit was beautiful and worked well for our family.

Disappointed with the bedroom/bathroom
The back bedroom with the connecting bathroom was a disappointment. The bed was not comfortable at all and was lower quality from the other beds in the house. The photo online showed the beds to all be the same through each room. The room was freezing with a really bad cold draft. The bathroom was extremely small. No where to sit anything on the sink area. The only furniture besides the bed in the bedroom/bathroom was 1 small night stand. I had to keep going to my suitcase when getting things out when it came to brushing my teeth, fixing my hair, trying to put on makeup. My husband trying to shave was not easy. The shower had no room for anything extra what so ever: I had to sit all my stuff on the floor. The other bathroom was not any better as far as vanity room. Made it hard for anyone to do their hair and makeup. You could not use the shower if the washing machine was running. The water pressure was not good and it kept shutting the water off. The bedroom with the double beds did not have a night stand by the beds. The kitchen had a bad draft of cold air going through it. I just felt like I over paid for what I got.

Great place to spend a few days over the holidays
My boys and I enjoyed staying here for a few days will coming into town and visiting family. The 3 bedrooms were comfortable, and the added space of the kitchen, dining room and living room was welcoming. We did stumble across a bonus of a ping pong table which was a great treat for the kids. It was a great place to stay at a good price.

Christmas in Kansas City, KS area
Becky’s Bungalow is an older home in Prairie Village, KS and doesn’t have that new house appeal on the outside. We wanted a home vs a hotel to visit with family over Christmas and have our Christmas dinner so it was perfect for what we needed. The inside of the house was remodeled, very clean, super cozy, comfy beds and living room, nice dining area off the kitchen and other amenities. The hosts were very accommodating and communicated immediately after booking. We would certainly stay again when visiting family in Kansas! 😃
