"Vieux-Viel ist ein kleiner und sehr ruhiger Ort. Für uns war es als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Region ideal (Mont St. Michel, Avranche, St. Malo, Cancale, etc...). "My wife and I stayed one night at the hotel as we wanted to experience Mont St Michael in the abbey. Hotel parking is offsite. Do not forget to get a code from the hotel as guest overnight parking requires a code to enter. Also be prepared to pay for your parking and will need to have your ticket to exit. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included and very good. We had dinner at their restaurant and thought it was great. Have the front desk make reservations for you. The room had a window to the street with a beautiful view of the water but was loud in the morning as vendors on forklifts were bringing supply’s into the Abbey. The bed mattress was not the most comfortable but it didn't keep me from sleeping. Overall, if you want to spend the night on the Abbey this hotel is a good choice."
