Lovely home, but actually even nicer people! Karen & George are the near perfect B&B Hosts, beautiful people with great stories to share, invisible for much of your stay, but right there when you are in need of anything. Breakfast was a good cut above the norm and accompanied by the host’s warmth. These people care about what they do and want nothing more than to ensure you enjoy your short stay in The County. As a total package the Runaway Rooster is a tough to compare.

The property is beautiful and well kept. The rooms were very clean! Beds were comfortable, we are use to king size at home. Personal choice. The breakfasts were amazing, fresh and delicious 😋. Karen and George, fantastic people!!!

Karen and George are fabulous hosts and could not do enough for us during our stay. George is magic in the kitchen when it comes to cooking his variety of eggs and Karen looks after the everchanging selection of fresh fruits for breakfast. They gave us lots of excellent recommendations for places to visit including wineries and a fabulous butcher shop in Picton. We cant say enough about our stay at the Runaway Rooster and we will most certainly become repeat customers.

Nary a hitch here. Karen and George were welcoming, considerate, attentive hosts and a pleasure to talk with. Breakfasts were excellent; their B&B attractive inside and out, conveniently located, and among the cleanest accommodations we've ever stayed at. A virtually silent mini-split in our room was a huge bonus.

A wonderful B&B in delightful Bloomfield, Prince Edward County, Ontario. The accommodations were clean and inviting but it’s the hospitality of the hosts - George and Karen - that is unforgettable.

Anniversary get away

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Runaway Rooster for two nights. We can’t say enough how wonderful our stay was. The home is as beautiful as the hosts. George and Karen were very welcoming and had many good suggestions of places that we would love to visit in the county. The room was immaculate and very comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and served on the back patio amongst their beautiful gardens. We enjoyed every moment and would love to return!

Le Runaway Rooster, je vous le recommande!!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Runaway Rooster. Karen et George sont sympathiques et de bons hôtes. Ils nous ont donné de bons conseilles pour les lieux à voir, le choix des resto ou des vignobles à visiter. Les petits déjeuner sont excellent et cuisiné par eux. La carte de stationnement, qu’ils mettent à notre disposition pour aller à Sandbank, est vraiment un must!

Perfect place for a wine tour.

The owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It was perfectly situated in the quaint little town of Bloomfield. Walking distance to the bicycle rental shop and delicious restaurants. Given that we were on a motorcycle trip. We were able to leave the motorcycle there and walk to all our adventures. The property is well maintained and super clean. The owners made us feel at home from the instance we arrived. Granted this was our first B&B experience, but we have no regrets and in fact, we will not hesitate to book there again. The room was comfortable and we had all that we needed. The breakfasts were exquisite and filling. Thanks again. Highly recommended. Returning customers.

The perfect place to stay

The owners were amazing. The place is very spacious, comfortable and very clean. The owner gave us the pass to go to the beach and coupon to visit wineries. The beach of sand bank are around 15 minutes by car. The breakfast on the morning was delicious and very healthy with local food. We had vere nice talk with Karen and George. Two persons very charming and charismatic. I recommand this place to everyone. Enjoy
