Red Bird Cottage

Entire cottage, two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen/family room with sofa bed, laundry room, deck, with private parking. The cottage is quiet and relaxing with birds, deer, black bear and other animals, but safe and relaxing. Near Concord U., Winter Place Ski Resort, Pipestem SP, Bluestone Dam, Sandstone Falls, Mathena Center, Princeton, Bramwell, Hatfield McCoy Trail. Applachian Trail. Also near Pearisburg, Pembroke and Wythville, VA., Wolford Haus Theatre. Mt. Lake Resort and not far from Greenbrier Hotel. Also near fitness centers and spas.

A fantastic little cottage near to CU. We enjoyed the deck and watching the birds. The hostess has thought of many things, but slightly larger pots would have been helpful when cooking for 4 people. The main double bed does have a slight slope towards the middle which made sleeping interesting. We would definitely consider staying here again as the location and amenities were perfect for us.

Cute home close to Concord University. Was nice to go and visit my daughter and cook a meal for her and her friends. The fire pit outback was a great addition. Dog friendly. Owner allowed me to check in early which was very much appreciated after a 6 hour drive.

Charming and Comfortable

This was my second stay at Red Bird Cottage. It is clean, comfortable, and nestled in a quiet neighborhood. We cooked several meals here, and washed a load of laundry. We enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table, playing games, and watching our little visitors, beautiful birds and a fat little squirrel. There is plenty of birdseed stored on the back porch if you need to refill the feeders.

Very relaxing little home. Had my pups so I cosed the one bedroom we didnt use but everything was there you needed. The nature and wildlife was a pleasant change. Definitely recommend.

Small quaint cottage! Perfect location to meet up with our daughter from Jacksonville and we live in Cincinnati. Owner ensured our stay was relaxing and provided additional necessities. The baked treats were an added bonus. . If traveling in the area. Would choose this location again

Perfect Location!

Red Bird Cottage is nestled in the small town of Athens, WV. Located not far from I-77 the location was ideal for visiting my son at Concord University. Basic businesses in Athens, Dollar General, Post Office, CVS and a park all within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. Eating establishments limited however Princeton,WV is a quick 15 minute drive. Red Bird Cottage was charming, extremely clean, and Anita was just as sweet. Not shown in the picture is the amazing fire pit and the adorable squirrel we saw every morning. The road isn’t traveled much so it does have a quiet atmosphere. The added gate on the deck is a nice touch and comfort if you’re traveling with your pet. No detail was missed.
