Good for a family - Kitchen needs attention

The vacation rental was very clean.
I was very happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

This is an older unit, and while it was in good condition for its age, it reflected wear and lack of maintenance/care. The range worked as expected, but the oven didn't work correctly. The refrigerator kept things cold, but the ice maker didn't work and the freezer was questionable. The wall AC in one of the bedrooms did not work at all, and there was a stand-in but it was incredibly loud, which made it hard to sleep. We rolled with it, and grilled a lot, which worked great, but the kitchen here was not ideal if you're a foodie or plan on cooking or baking. Pool/hot tub facilities, location/safety, accessibility, supplies (soap, TP, trash bags, laundry soap, etc.), and general cleanliness were all really good. We could tell there was a family with little kids staying in the unit above us, as there was a lot of little feet running around noise from above, but it didn't bother us really. The beach equipment was extremely helpful and much appreciated. The size of the unit was perfect for our family of 4, and for the value and the fact that we booked fairly last minute for this trip, this was fine for our needs, despite the issues that were present. If the kitchen appliance issues were fixed we'd absolutely stay in this unit again.
