The booking, payment, and ease of access to the rental was good. Unsure of cleanliness bc I didn’t go inside. Yes it’s a studio but it’s the extra bedroom of the owners accessed via a sliding glass door on an apartment patio. Very awkward. Just as I’d seen the place, two voices upstairs got very loud and heated. Footsteps and doors slamming. An argument ensued and a partially clothed male ran down the stairs and left. A female voice yelled “oh you’re kidding me!” I took this as my cue to leave too, not knowing how it would resolve in the next 48 hrs., my entire booking. The hosts were receptive to my reasons for not staying and reported the incident to the rental board (?) but there’s not much else they can do! This could happen in a hotel too. *Sigh.* The hosts suggested calling the police. Wait, what? Why? This is where a hotel mgr, camp host, or hostel staff would step in with the rowdies. I didn’t even ask for a refund. Glad this experience is in the rear view mirror. It may be fine next week. It was just my experience.
