Elsa’s was wonderful. I truly loved chatting with Gail in the living room, looking out at the sea, about the local area. Breakfast was delicious with more conversation with the other guests. Beats a motel any day.

Room and inn were beautiful! Gail was a wonderful host! The breakfasts were very yummy!! The bed was pretty hard and there wasn’t air conditioning in our room which made sleeping uncomfortable in the warm weather.

Elsa's Inn on the Harbor is the perfect, charming, quiet and cozy get away, especially for solo travlers! Gale was beyond warm and welcoming to me and gave me great recommendations of things to do around the area. My time there was lovely and I look forward to returning again soon!

This is where you would want to go if you want to stay someplace quiet out of the main touristy area of Bar Harbor. The Inn is very cute like staying at your grandmother’s, it is across the street from Prospect Harbor. We rode in on a motorcycle in the rain from Bar Harbor and Gale was at the door to greet us with two dry towels. She reviewed the map of the Schoodic Peninsula gave us helpful tips and places where we could go to eat. The included breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day before heading out for site seeing. It’s about an hour to Mount Desert Island, but only a few minutes away from the Schoodic Peninsula, which is much less populated, and worth a visit.

We loved our stay at Elsa's inn. The breakfast was amazing and we learned so much about the history of the area from the host. Location was unbeatable. We went to a nearby lookout to watch the sunrise and it was stunning and not crowded like the places right by Bar Harbor. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip around Maine!

We only booked this place for one night - actually by accident. It was a happy accident. I would have liked to have stayed a few more days. Very rustic , quiet and quaint. Thank you Gail for a lovely stay.

A lovely B&B in a quiet area across from the harbor. The hostess (Gail, I believe) was friendly and welcoming. The room we had was very nice and had a comfortable bed. Breakfast was quite delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we were in the area.

Gail was informative when we arrived. Grounds need a bit of attention. Attention needs to made as to dusting of room furniture, floors and windowsill. Tasty breakfasts. Call to find out the details of your room. We were in Julie’s room on second floor with just a door separating us from another adjoining room. We could hear voices and their snoring kept me up all night.
