We really enjoyed our stay at that property . The staff , Gladis and Matias were so warm, doing everything they could to make our stay comfortable. It felt very authentic, more like a bed and breakfast, country living .They did cook us a wonderful lunch. We loved the setting quiet under beautiful old trees , however if you do not have a rental car you may prefer to stay more in town . The room was spacious, clean and the bed was confortable. The bathroom needs updating .

Our first time in Chile for my boyfriend and I. We travelled almost 25 hours and the first thing we wanted to do is to check into our hotel as soon as we landed in Punta Arenas. We didn’t have any high expectations at the time but as soon as we walked in we felt so welcomed and warm. Tho it was a very nice short stay, we reallly enjoyed our stay. Our host Carlos was awesome! A beautiful home in a nice beautiful location. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was nice. Definitely recommend!!! If you plan to see the penguins, the owner apparently has a boat that could take you there.

Estancia vide...même si l’hôte est très sympathique, le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas extraordinaire. Excentré, voiture obligatoire. Petit dej sommaire. Je pense qu’on peut trouver mieux à Punta Arenas même si les hotels de la ville semblent chers.

Local agradável, pessoal simpático, bom atendimento e preços razoáveis. Tem a opção de jantar no hotel. O café da manhã é continental. Bom.

Staff (Carlos) was extremely helpful

We had a great stay thanks to Carlos, the administrator. Even the Hotel was 10 mins away from the city center, Carlos made a big difference helping plan our trip. He woke up and called car rentals and tour agencies to find the best deal for us.

Fun with a Capital F

We had the best time here! They made us so welcome we couldn't resist dancing spontaneousy to the 80s music they were playing at breakfast. Great quiet, homey feeling, everything you need and easy to park! we had parking issues in town and this is no small situation. Carlos and Gladys are the best! go have fun - unforgettable!

Country hotel near Punta Arenas

Beautiful place in a wonderful location outside Punta Arenas, Chile. The staff is wonderful, and the food is great.

Nice place but hard to find. Do not use google map

This is a nice hotel, a mansion that has been turned into a hotel, so it has a lot of character. The staff tries their best to make you comfortable. However, it is not near the city center and there is nothing to do nearby and no restaurants nearby as well. The main problem is that it is hard to call a taxi because the drivers get lost not knowing where the hotel is.

Carlos, el conseje, se desvive por sus clientes. Es además camarero, solucionador de problemas, conocedor de todo, siempre dispuesto a dar lo mejor de sí por sus huéspedes. Volveríamos solo por él.

Short stay, unforgettable memories.

It was a nice short stay with an incredibly attentive and helpful staff, especially Carlos. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast that could use some significant improvements and updates but did not get in the way of our stay. Overall, we were very happy with our time there.

Estancia taken over by the large city

It is a unique place but it probably is worthwhile mentioning that d/t the large expansion of the surrounding city this is not an 'estancia' in the classic sense but rather an antique hotel in the middle of the city.

We were in Chile for 2 weeks and this was by far the most hospitable stay. The host was SO incredibly friendly and thoughtful. We arrived at almost 1 am and he dispensed with the checkin process bc he knew we were exhausted, letting us take care of registration the next day. When we returned from our outing the next afternoon, we were greeted with such an enthusiastic hello as if we were long lost friends. We felt so welcomed here - really felt like home. This hotel is about 3 miles outside of the main town of Punta Arenas. I loved it - no noise from traffic or people. We actually walked there from town one afternoon and it was a lovely walk along the waterfront. Only about $4000 Chilean pesos if you want to take a cab. The food is only so-so, but doesn't matter too much since there is so much great food in town. Highly recommend La Marmita for a great lunch or dinner in Punta Arenas. I can't recommend Estancia Rio De Los Ciervos enough- if I am ever back in Punta Arenas I will definitely stay there.

Familiäres Hotel am Stadtrand von Punta Arenas

Punta Arenas war für uns Ausgangs- und Endpunkt einer einwöchigen Mietwagentour zum Torres del Paine. Das Haus (ein ehemaliger Gutshof?) befindet sich am Südrand der Stadt etwa 100m neben der Ruta 9 umgeben von altem Baumbestand. Verkehr von der Straße ist nicht zu hören. Einrichtung des Hauses macht einen familiären Eindruck, ebenso der Service. Man ist herzlich willkommen (ein paar Brocken Spanisch sind empfehlenswert). Zimmer sehr großzügig, Bäder einfach, alles sehr sauber. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
