Wonderful Stay!

Our extended family just returned from a week in Villa La Palapa. Overall we had a great time. Airport pickup and check in were a breeze. The property was awesome. We used the pool everyday, it was clean and perfect temperature. The basketball court was underwhelming, with palms overgrowing the area. My 12 year old didn't complain. There were some small things, like an odd smell in one of the bathrooms, that were handled immediately. Like others have said, the staff were friendly, hard working, and just nice people. We opted for the breakfast/dinner partial plan, with Carlos as our chef. This ended up being a ridiculous amount of food and was a perfect choice for us. Note that there is a separate chef rental fee in additional to the per person fe, which was not clear in initial emails. After reading back through the contract, it is in there in small print. We generally either skipped lunch or ate on the run. The boys in our group played golf at La Cana 3 times and at Punta Espada once. La Cana is definitely not worth what they charge. I got times on the GolfNow app for a third of the price. They make you take a caddy, which for the first time we played seemed reasonable. The third time we played, they tried to send 2 caddies with our group of 4 to play 9 holes (we were in carts!) This theme of squeezing money out of you seemed common in the DR. The caddy master is a total jerk, he made us feel like outsiders because we were not "owners". Punta Espada is legit.

Nothing Short of Incredible!

Nosotros simplemente lo pasamos de maravilla a La Villa Palapa! Without a doubt, our stay exceeded every expectation. The property is beautiful, spacious and easily accessible to beaches, the airport and many things to do. The infinity pool, natural wildlife, and food were, for sure, our top highlights. Every need was looked after each day. We elected the food and drinks plan, which we would recommend. The staff were attentive to all our needs and were very responsive. Stig, Irving, Gleyds, and Francisco are top-notch—super friendly and gracious. Our group of friends travels together each year, and our first trip to the Dominican Republic and La Villa Palapa will certainly not be our last. We would highly recommend any group—families, friends—to stay at La Villa Palapa.

Amazing Stay!!

Our stay was everything we hoped for and more! The house is within a safe, gated community that has absolutely beautiful scenery. The house is better than the pictures and we had plenty of room for 10 adults and 1 three year old. The house is well worth the price. There are several beach options but our favorite, that was a 5 minute golf cart ride, was Playa Serena. Gladys was so sweet and nice, she spoiled us taking care of the dishes and making sure our rooms were nice and clean. The rooms were a bit cold so if you run on the cooler side bring a sweatshirt for sleeping.

Magical Experience!!!

I celebrated my 40th Birthday with my friends a couple weeks ago and had the time of my life!! From the moment we stepped on the property, we felt at home and most welcomed. I cannot say enough about the amazing Villa staff: Deborah, Gledys & Irving!! They are the MOST kind, loving, genuine, attentive, charismatic and warm people ever! The trio went above and beyond to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were taken care of. It was not just the big, but the smallest most thoughtful gestures that truly touched my heart - from decorating my birthday cake because I didn't have time to go buy fresh flowers to place on it, to thoughtfully making lunch for us on the final day after our flight was delayed three times. The house was lovely, perfect and a slice of heaven on earth!! But the Villa team, will FOREVER hold a special place in my heart and the hearts of my friends!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Week Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. We went with our 3 teens. The property was beautiful with many separate spaces, which is nice when traveling with older children. The staff was lovely and helpful, very considerate. I would recommend this property and hope to return!

5 STAR Vacation and Staff

I just got back home from villa palapa and my family and I are already missing the home and staff. If you are considering booking do not think further!!! It is even nicer in person.. photos do not do the house justice. I traveled with my 1 year old son and family and friends to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we walked in we were blown away by the home! The layout, decor and architecture were so unique. We had the pleasure of meeting the lovely staff that go above and beyond to make sure your stay is excellent. Melania, Irving, Junior, Stig and Chef El Piro make a great team. They play a huge part in what makes the experience so lovely. We will definitely return. Thank you!!!!

Beautiful property just as listed but even better in person. Stig was very helpful in providing information and helping us with transportation. Milania and Irving were always there and kept the property and rooms so clean. The golf carts were a huge plus !

Spring Break Perfection

We loved our stay in Villa LaPalapa. We were three families; 11 people and we had plenty of space. The house is exactly as shown, the golf course in back is beautiful, the outdoor living space is wonderful. We loved the golf carts and it allowed our teenagers to have freedom to explore and go to the beach. Although we also spent a lot of family time playing games and enjoying the pool. However, the BEST part of this lovely home are Junior, Melania, Irving and Stig. Best staff ever! so warm and kind. Always ready to help but never intrusive. Junior’s cooking was fantastic and the house was always clean and tidy thanks to Melania. Stig was incredibly responsive to every request and so easy to work with. Our entire group cannot recommend this Villa enough. We hope to return soon!

Amazing villa

Rented this villa for my Bachelorette. We were six girls staying for 4 days. The villa was amazing and clean. Pool and view was perfect. The housekeeper was so sweet and always available for us at any hour. She made us feel comfortable and at one point was our photographer ! We took amazing pictures at the property. We stood one full day at the villa without leaving just enjoying the pool. The golf carts came in handy, we drove the the resort restaurants and to playa Blanca. Would definitely stay here again! Property manager Alix is also great and always available via text. We had an amazing time!

Beautiful property with an amazing staff

Overdue review but this property is worth the time it takes to write it! The property is gorgeous and the staff take such good care of it. Just enough privacy for everyone in your group but amazing common spaces. We chose to get a chef for the entire stay and let me tell you it was the best decision. Milania is an amazing cook and I would book her immediately once you book this place. Don't look anywhere else STAY HERE!

Everything I hoped for...

Three generations had a marvelous stay at Villa La Palapa. The house was very spacious, comfortable and clean. I cannot compliment the staff enough. Melania, Irving and Junior (Carlos) are the best!! I highly recommend booking a chef. Junior prepared 3 outstanding meals with lots of variety. Stig visited every day to make certain everything was in order. All in all, a perfect “home away”.

Amazing Villa with an Amazing staff!

We spent Spring Break with our adult children and grandchildren at Villa La Palapa and it was the perfect villa for our group of ten. The villa is open, comfortable and beautiful. Irving (butler/house manager) and Melania (housekeeper) are there to make your stay even better. The villa manager, Stig was incredibly helpful, as well as, Janet in their office. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this villa. One suggestion I do have is to provide very specific grocery lists and menu ideas if you decide to secure the chef. We did this and never regretted having the extra staff and the ease of mealtimes. Truly a relaxing and wonderful vacation! Highly recommended:)

Amazing family vacation

Our family had a wonderful week long vacation at La Palapa! The entire experience was first class from the moment we entered the villa to the day we left. The house and property are beautiful and well kept, and the staff is terrific. We loved the big family meals in the dining room, the infinity edge pool, playing on the sport court, and exploring Punta Cana on the golf carts. Wonderful Experience all enjoyed

Our two families have such a wonderful stay. We had 4 Adults and 5 Kids 3 18 years old and 1, 17 and 1, 15. Before we arrived we had a great experience with Janet she was in charge of organizing our stay and she was awesome, She responded right away every time I had a question and was on point. Once we arrived we were picked up on time from our flight and a short ride to the house where we met Stig the house Manager, Jr. our Chef for the week, Melania the house keeper and Irwin. Stig was great helped us line up transportation and stopped by each day and felt like a friend helping us out. Jr. our chef was awesome let me just say that the kids had a wake up call when we returned home and there was no Jr. to cook for them. Everything was so well prepared. We did not really ask him to do anything he just made incredible dish one after the other. We tried Dominican Dishes that were out of this world good. Malania and Irwin also took such great care of us everything was clean and well kept we never needed anything more ever. The House was beautiful and clean and perfect for our party of 9 and could have easily had another couple and an additional kid or so with no space issues at all. I highly recommend this property this was a first class vacation and we look forward to returning.

Fantastic vacation - too short! :)

Had a wonderful time at Villa Palapa during our stay week after Christmas. Melania and Irving were amazing! Stig was fantastic too with checking in all was well daily and completing grocery shopping, even last minute. The villa is spacious and well appointed and very comfortable - Melania and Irving made it perfect! Whatever we needed, they were on hand yet gave us the space and feeling the place was ours alone when needed. Very much enjoyed the chef service as well - food was delicious and always on time. It was also great to have the golf carts handy for our family as we explored the resort further and for golf. The location of the villa is perfect - lots of privacy with hedges, and with a lovely view of the golf course. The kids loved the basketball court and ping pong table - played lots! Thank you Melanie, Irving and Stig - you truly made our first family vacation in Punta Cana a most memorable one we will always cherish! We hope to be back before you know it! :)

We loved the villa and the staff are exceptional. Melanie the live in cook prepares delicious meals

We had the most wonderful family holiday at Villa La Palapa!!!! We had our 3 daughters , their husbands and our 3 grandchildren with us and everyone enjoyed the villa , the super food, service and surroundings. The guys played golf one day, we all visited Altos de Chavon, we played tennis twice and visited the stunning lagoons at the Ecological center. Most of all, the wonderful meals made by Melanie and super drinks made by Irwin made our stay super and care free. The villa is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and has a Zen like quality. We all enjoyed the pool, garden and table-tennis!!! We will return as this was one of our most memorable vacations!!!!
