I loved this trip!!! I definitely recommend upgrading to Level because it provides private pool and restaurant, and feels like a VIP experience. The Level pool is great and has a swim up bar, but is less crowded. There is also an outdoor grill that you can grab food at and sit by the pool. The staff was all amazing especially our Level host Reynardo. He was so caring and attentive, and made our experience a 10/10. The hibachi was an amazing experience and some really great food! I highly recommend it, but it only comes with the Level experience, otherwise you have to pay a fee to go. The drinks were all wonderful and Luciano is an awesome pool bartender who made our experience awesome! Edward was also an amazing person who was super attentive and always checked in on us. Overall, this was a great experience and I highly recommend it. It’s not adult only, but there’s a kids area and water park so it was not too crowded with kids which was good.

I had a great experience staying at the Meliá all-inclusive resort. The pools were always clean and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was kept very clean, with daily housekeeping available whenever we needed it, which made our stay even more comfortable. Everything felt organized and well taken care of throughout the resort. If you’re planning to stay here, I highly recommend asking for Reynardo. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. He made our experience smooth and stress-free, and we truly appreciated his help. Overall, I would definitely come back and recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

My experience at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort was excellent from start to finish. The facilities are extensive, well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. You can truly see the hotel’s commitment to quality in every detail. I would especially like to recognize Fernando Reyes from Guest Services. In addition to providing impeccable service, he is a wonderful human being. His charisma, kindness, and constant willingness to help—always with a smile—make you feel genuinely welcome. His warm and respectful approach makes a real difference in the overall experience. I would also like to highlight Elmis Rosario at the beach service. His service is outstanding, always attentive and timely, but what truly stands out is his human quality. He is a great person—warm, respectful, and genuinely committed to making guests feel comfortable and well cared for. Congratulations to the entire team for delivering such a positive and memorable experience. This is definitely a place I would return to and highly recommend.

The property is beautiful and clean. The food in the buffet was average resort food, but had many options. The restaurants for dinner all had very good food, we did Dominican, Italian and then the steakhouse. There is only way to make reservations for those dinners though so you have to make those early on your second day stay. The beach was gorgeous and the pool very big and clean. I thought the music at the main pool could have been so much better though. The staff was mostly friendly, especially Vivian Celeste at the front desk, she was super nice and helpful. She decorated the room for my daughter’s birthday as a surprise. I liked the cars that were mostly always readily available to take us from the lobby to our room or the beach or wherever we needed to go. Jasier was one of the drivers and he was so pleasant, friendly and very helpful. My complaints would be that many times at the buffets (there are 2) it was hard to get someone to come over and take our drink orders, and seltzer was scarce. I also hated the fact that there was an Expedia ambassador being super pushy and constantly trying to bring us over to a different resort to sell us our next vacation. That was annoying and misleading because she didn’t provide all the details until we were far from our resort and told us that the meeting would be 45 minutes. I ended up leaving her and avoided them after that. Be aware of those Expedia ambassadors! Overall it was a beautiful resort and we had a great time.

The following is the email i wrote directly to the property. And we just learned that one of the twins tested positive for ECOLI and NORO VIRUS and the other twin has Coxackie Virus. Both adults also contracted ECOLI amd NORO VIRUS. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing as the purchaser of the trip for my daughter, son‑in‑law, and grandchildren, who stayed at your property this past week. I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with both the food and the service they experienced during their stay. They arrived at your resort on Sunday afternoon in perfect health. By Monday night, both adults and one of the twins — Isabella, who had just turned one — became acutely ill with severe gastrointestinal symptoms. Despite drinking only bottled water, there were still unavoidable moments when local water entered their system, and it is clear that something at the property made them sick. My daughter experienced vomiting and diarrhea, her husband had significant gastrointestinal distress, and Isabella suffered both vomiting and diarrhea.

Room was great other than being without hot water for 2 days. Most of staff was great there were a few that probably should find other jobs when a friendly smile would go along way. Bar and restaurants were great!

The staff at the spa came to the pool area, insisted I fill out papers for a spa service that I wanted to have, but was not sure when. And then charged me for services that I never received. I was tricked and played, and it was not a good failing.

The melia was incredible. The staff was very attentive as I was traveling with my children alone. The lady was so kind as to schedule our activities and coordinate our dining dates. The activities are unique! We specifically enjoyed the paddle boards in the pool and the violinist! If I am ever in DR again we will be sure to stay at the Melia!
