We stayed in the wellness section and the shower was dirty, they did not change the pillow cases even when we ask for, not enough towels, no white meat in the buffet like other all inclusive hotels, key cards have issues to open.

Beautiful resort, beach, and great food. If you want a chair on the beach or by the pool be prepared to get up early (7am) to get it. Otherwise you are out of luck, not saying they will be taken by people but by towels. Towels that sit on chairs all day and rarely have their owners in them. Drinks are poor if they even get them correct, how do you screw up strawberry daiquiri and bring a margarita on 3 different occasions. Staff’s English is very poor. Been to much better places so we wouldn’t recommend.

Enjoyed our 7 day stay as a group of 6. Hotel staff was excellent, small language barrier at times, but all good. A little more variety with the dinner menu but the food was good. Only complaint was getting the correct towels for our room. Talked with maids and called the desk 3 times for hand towels and wash cloths and only had them 2 days of our 7. Minor issue. Overall stay was great.

The ala cart restaurants were amazing! The buffets were mediocre at best. The staff were amazing! The pool could use more attention to cleanliness. Amazing property! The vibe is very serene and peaceful and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food at all the restaurants was pretty good, but some restaurants were standouts like Muoa and Quimera. I would recommend the Level to get access to everything on the Adults Only property. The environment was beautiful and peaceful, this is not an adults only party resort. This is a place to unwind, the staff was amazing! From The pool bar with Moises, Gustovo and Maribel to Dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant with Radolpho they made the experience that much more enjoyable. We felt like family and friends around them. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely love Punta Cana and look forward to coming back and staying somewhere else. We liked the size of the property and enjoyed walking the paths around it. Disliked having money stolen from the safe in our room while we were at dinner one evening. Disliked having to check-out a few days early, moving to a different property "Westin" as we no longer felt safe. Melia refused to refund us for the days we did not stay there due to our early departure to another hotel.

When our staff visited your room, you mentioned that the theft occurred two days prior, and that you preferred to not report this incident before because you felt uneasy. We take such matters seriously and promptly alerted our security team to thoroughly investigate the incident. Upon receiving your report, we initiated a detailed investigation to address the situation appropriately. It was noted that despite our offer to assist with the investigation process and involve the authorities, there seemed to be a reluctance to pursue the matter further, as you expressed a desire to depart immediately. It was also evident to our staff that there were inconsistencies in the information provided. We strive to ensure the safety and security of all our guests, and our team acted promptly and professionally in response to the situation. We regret that our efforts to thoroughly investigate the matter and reach a resolution were met with a request for an early checkout. We take every concern seriously and assure you that the safety and well-being of our guests is of utmost importance to us.With respect to your early departure and the request for a refund for the remaining days of your reservation, we understand that our team assessed your request at the time and a decision was informed based on the appearance of the circumstances, nevertheless, we lament your discomfort with the outcome of this request.We are deeply sorry that you left with an unsatisfactory experience, and we would appreciate the opportunity to regain your confidence in our property in the future. We loved this resort. Staff was very nice, food was pretty good. Our room was a tad run down, but we really had a great time overall. The best part would have to be all the activities - yoga, step, Zumba etc… the gym is beautiful.

Do not recommend and will not return. Bad food, bad drinks, several experiences with very rude and angry employees. We were not given the room type that we had booked. Instead we were put in rooms for those who upgrade to "The Level". We were pushed at checkin to upgrade which would have cost us about $800 for our trip. We politely declined which meant we were not allowed to use the restaurant, lounge, beach, and pool area directly by our room. Instead we had to walk across to the other side for the shared areas/services by the rooms we should have been given because thats what we booked. No beach view from rooms but they advertise it and then have you lean way over your balcony and stand on tiptoes to barely see past palm trees and other buildings to the water. Everything was incredibly inconsistent. We had three rooms in our group. Everyone had different Information given at checkin and different experiences with how their room was cleaned and stocked. One night we were exhausted and head to bed around 1030ish and someone came knocking on our door to service it. Room had already been cleaned so not sure what they were coming to do we assumed turndown but cant be sure. You can order the same basic drink over and over and have it come out completely different each time. Food was the same you could have the same thing multiple times and sometimes it was good and other times not so much. None of the food was great though.

We were very disappointed compared to our experience when we visited several years ago. The bulk of the staff spoke such poor English that it was impossible to communicate with most. The food was very boring and was the same from restaurant to restaurant, mainly local food only. The only non-local food was the snack bar by the beach where you could get a hamburger. We don’t anticipate returning.

Absolutely belive the bad reviews. We checked in at 4:00 pm, 1 hr after check in starts, and we where not able to book any of the a la carte restaurants because staff doing this services are available until 4:00 pm. If you booked this supposed "resort" because of the beautiful pictures provided in the site, you're in for a rude awakening. To get to all the rooms you have to ride a golf cart wait around 10 to 15 mins because is not like the have many, is two carts and one is for the reagulars and the other is for the "premium" guests, and walking in the scorching sun for 15 to 20mins to your room is not duable for me. At night this walk is more duable. When we got there we went to the pool where towels were not longer being given and the pool bar and staff was ready to closed for the day. Like what? So we could not anything the first day other than go to the buffet and sit around the lobby/reception area that is the only recreational/entertainment place for the regulars. Most of the pictures that you see on site, like the bar with ocean views and other areas photograh in that building is for "premium" guests only. So is absolutely very limiting what you could do and where you could be. Listen I am not against separate amenities for different price points but I was not informed or given the option to upgrade to this amenities. They enter my room 3 times during my stay after 1 knock, I was not even able to put my robe on. No privacy at all, which I find rude and offensive. SKIP.
