This was a good resort for the price we paid. My main complaint is regarding our sink that was clogged sometimes beyond use for most of your stay. I asked them to fix it and they came and plunged it for about 20 mins, making it drain "a bit better". I was told to call if problem persisted. I didn't bother, as we developed a way around it and had 2 other rooms we use if needed! The pools and beach were great! Lobby bar excellent. À la carte were good! Beach buffet in the morning was nice! We had a great time until the bus loads of spring breakers pulled in and overtook every spot of everywhere!

Very courteous staff, friendly and helpful. Pools were gorgeous and well maintained. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and neat. The food is the only downfall. Very bland and repeated thru the week. Our group of 7 - 5 had digestive issues. Would i go here again? Yes, because i dont go on vacation for food.

Everything went wrong in our room some of the outlets didn't work and when they finally tried to fix them our fan and air conditioning stopped working and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night. When we changed rooms the safe in the new room didn't work and the fan above the toilet dropped water on us when we sat down. Our Concierge did his best to help us with our needs and all of the people we dealt with were very nice . The food was just okay and if they maintained their rooms it would a great place. The beach is absolutely stunning.

This resort was by far the cleanest place I’ve stayed at thus far. The staff was the sweetest and our concierge Ricardo went above and beyond to ensure that our daughter’s 21st bday trip was absolutely amazing. We would definitely recommend this resort and plan to return ourselves.

Staff was super friendly and responsive! The only (minor) issue was that there was a leak in our room, however that was addressed right away. Overall super positive experience and would definitely recommend!

We booked on Expedia a jr suite non royal. Check in was long. They couldn't locate our reservation and took time for them to realize we needed to check in at the Expedia desk. We were in bldg 24 first floor room. Location was awesome right by the pool and close to food areas. Room was standard.. some areas could have been cleaned better. Beds were ok, not great. Shower has no curtain or door. Lock in our room was broken, they fixed it right away. A la carte dinners were all delicious except we didn't care for the seafood restaurant or lunch at that same spot either.. sad because its the best location oceanside. It was dirty, staff didn't seem happy/friendly, and food was terrible. Easy to get dinner reservations in lobby. Was able to get a reservation for every night. Shout out to staff at pizza and taco bar. open 6 pm to 6 am every day.. could live off that.. entertainments great, but music was too loud at every activity. Foam party was fun. Buffet was hit or miss .. but could always find something we could eat. Pool snack bar was our go to for lunch and enjoyed the chicken wings. Pools, grounds, & selection of drinks all great. Beach is beautiful, plenty of chairs & shade from palm trees. Lots of vendors but we like that. Had a wonderful massage.. make a deal with nelson mendela. Staff were AMAZING! loved all of the lobby bar staff. Not a huge resort but large enough to not feel crowded. Overall a good budget resort that we enjoyed for a week getaway for some sunshine.

Beautiful resort! Didn’t love the staff they weren’t that friendly but it didn’t really matter. Food was good, resort needs a lot more shaded covered areas near the pool and beach. Cleaning services were a little strange, I think they were always short on towels because after each time our room was cleaned they never left us towels and we always had to go get them ourselves. Again, not a big deal. Front desk workers were lovely but excursion workers that help you book were quite rude. Had a lot of issues with the shower and sink water just stopped working a couple times. Overall I wouldn’t stay agin but I did still enjoy my stay for the price

Me gustó mucho la ubicación en la playa es de las mejores el hotel es muy lindo y está bien cuidado. Los chefs tuvieron mucha comprensión para mi hija y para conmigo dado que somos Celiacas y colaboraron bastante, dado que no teníamos sectorizado GLUTEN FREE en ningún lado. Había que acercarse a ellos y pedirles. Sugerencia: debería escribir lo que contiene la comida ya que nO indicaba cuál era el contenido había que adivinar. El personal de los salones muy bien. Los restaurantes privados muy bien salvo el de caracolas.

Staff was first class. Resort was fantastic. Restaurants were only ok, Las Reses , the statehouse was awful ( couldn’t cut the meat even w a knife and impossible to chew). And the internet was also only ok (in a lot of places didn’t work at all). the place and the people were so beautiful, we did enjoyed ourselves

Sabanas manchadas, baño con moho y sucio. Pero lo peor fue la comida. En el Restaurante Hacienda Las Redes pedi un hamburger y me lo trajeron crudo por dentro. Lo cambiaron 2 veces y vino igual. Al final lo cambiaron por un a pechuga de pollo a la parilla. Pero vino fria de nevera. Lo pero de todo: La comida !!!!

Beautiful, sandy beach. Variety of restaurants, helpful staff. Need to be sure there are enough lounges on the beach and around the pools. Always a struggle to get them if you didn't get down really early. Difficult sometimes to find someone who spoke English. However, was a lovely holiday.

We had a fantastic experience at Occidental Punta Cana. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Throughout our stay, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The property is absolutely immaculate. The staff is constantly cleaning, maintaining, and touching up the resort; you can tell they take pride in keeping everything beautiful. One thing that really stood out to us was how well they manage pests. There were virtually no bugs anywhere on the property, which is impressive for a tropical destination. The drinks were very good and the bartenders keep them flowing! Service overall was excellent. If you are traveling from the United States, I highly recommend bringing plenty of U.S. dollars. The staff clearly prefers dollars over pesos, and we learned the hard way that we were charged more for excursions when paying in pesos. The only area that could use improvement is the food. While some of the buffet options were just okay, the steakhouse and the Mexican restaurant were both excellent and definitely worth booking. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would return. Beautiful grounds, welcoming staff, great service, strong drinks; just bring your dollars and make your dinner reservations early!

The staff don’t care for you in my room missing a hot water for two days call the front desk couple times sometimes they answer sometimes they don’t answered. They don’t care I think so. They have a well water and was smelling so bad. don’t book this resort if you don’t want to be sick like my family over there.
