The Serenade property was very well maintained surrounding being clean. The food at the Buffet deserves a hard pass!! The Food was tasteless/ Bland, watered down juice and salad dressings. I could go on an on about the food. So on to the next thing. The specialty restaurants were the best bet for food options Although reservations are needed. Our room had no wash cloths or a trash can. Called the front desk to request missing items. Never received these items during are 5 day stay. No Air Conditioners were not working in none of the restaurants or Buffet area. However, the sports Bar Air Conditioner was working. Other than that You had to eat while sweating. At this point I would not return for another stay. Improvements definitely needed.

I was not very happy with my stay there. The dining options were very limited and of lower quality. The food overall was not good. Additionally, there was a terrible stench on the property that remained down the during of our stay. The entertainment was subpar. There just was not much to do. The televisions did not work in some of our rooms. Same with the locks on the sliding doors. It just wasn’t the greatest resort experience.

⭐️ 0-Star – Absolutely Awful Experience I don’t usually leave reviews, but this resort was beyond terrible. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely disinterested in assisting anyone. The room was filthy — stained sheets, dust everywhere, and a terrible odor that lingered the entire stay. The food service was just as bad. Meals were either cold, undercooked, or just plain inedible. Shockingly, someone in our group even got food poisoning. It’s unacceptable and dangerous. The entire resort had a foul smell that made it hard to relax or enjoy anything. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. It was a complete waste of money and time. Never again.

Beautiful place my room was next to the construction site, no phone to call had to walk to reception elevator down walked 4,flight for 3 days. NO ATM US dollars bring your own cash. No one said you needed your keycard and place it on slot on the wall to turn on lights But overall staff and the place was beautifully well spent Thank you will be back again

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Health & Safety Issues at Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort — Stay July 18–25, 2025 Dear Expedia Customer Service, I am writing to formally raise serious health and safety concerns encountered during my recent stay at Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort in the Dominican Republic, from July 18 to July 25, 2025, booked through Expedia. During our stay, we observed multiple unacceptable conditions that compromised our health and safety: 1. Unsanitary Drink Handling: At the swim-up bar during a foam party on 7/23, staff were rinsing drink cups with only water and immediately reusing them instead of properly sanitizing. When we raised this with staff, they apologized and explained they were understaffed and lacked enough clean cups to meet demand. 2. Severe Mold Issue in Mediterranean Restaurant: On the evening of Monday, July 21, while dining at the Mediterranean restaurant, we observed black mold growing around the air vents directly above our table. Worse, liquid was actively dripping from the moldy vent onto our table and plates. We had to request the servers to move our table away from this contamination source. 3. Fleas in the lobby area and roaches in food. Following these experiences, several members of our party, including myself, developed symptoms consistent with viral illness and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after returning home. These conditions caused significant disruption.

No AC on restaurants or buffet, only place with AC is your room. Not enough chairs around pool so if you wake up after 9am be prepare to pay $50 for the cabanna. Be prepare with enough cash to tip employees so you can have a decent attention. The way the customer service approach to you to sell you a partnership is incorrect, they said they have you a VIP breakfast on the gourmet restaurant for free and once you get there its an obligation to hear a speech for 1hour. Food was good, drink were excellent, beach is full of seaweed in this time of the year so be prepare to go out of the hotel on a tour to Saona or blue lagoon if you want to enjoy of a beautiful beach.

The Dominican Republic is one of our favorite destinations. As a family, we have been to Punta Cana many times, including the past three years. This is by far the worst experience for a vacation we've had to date. The first thing we experienced as we approached the resort there was a very strong sewer-like stench. We hoped or assumed that it was temporary, but that smell was there the entire time in different intensities. The beach was non-existent. You couldn't swim in that water not only because it was too shallow but because it was extremely dirty. And no, that's not because of the seaweed, there was something else. I have pictures and videos of the beach. It looks nothing like the Caribbean. The service was generally subpar. The app to make reservations for restaurants didn't work, the staff couldn't help, to top it all off, I have never been to a hotel that didn't even ask me how my stay was when we checked out. Not only would I not ever go back there or recommend someone go there, I think Expedia shouldn't allow this resort on the platform.

DON’T GO – EVER! Service is horrible. None of the staff cares to service you. They are not friendly. Management is missing in action. We could not speak with the top management at anytime during our 1 week stay. They staff does not have what they need to do their job. Everyone with spoke with does not give you the name of their manager; they are afraid to speak. Good luck in getting you towels! They are missing face and floor towel all the time. They say the towels are white but they are not. We got our towels one day at 7pm as staff said they did not receive them to give it to us. The Food is not appealing. The bacon was undercooked; how can you mess that up! Everything is tasteless. In the Buffet, they have a big variety of food but not any good. We mainly ate fruits and ice cream. Even the pizza was bad with no taste at all. The Restaurants do not have AC; you will sweat in the 90% heat inside. The staff just drops the plates and moves on. The Pool has many areas with holes inside and around it. The drainage has many sections missing leaving holes that you can step in hurt their ankles. The Facilities are rundown needing much upkeep. There is dirt everywhere in the decorations even the plants have dirt on them. We had a family member in our party that had to move rooms 3 times due to A/C and toilet problems. It was our first and last time at this property or at any of the Best Hotels properties. Please don’t go; don’t waste your hard earn money.

Well, the staff was working hard a d very welcome. The only thing that i didn't liked was the sales process of the Xpand package. It looks like was a scam. The way how they offer this Xpand club package, offering you to have breakfast in one of their premuim restaurants and have the breakfast with the sales person and all my family, spend almost 3 hours to present Xpand Club. I was not buying a house, plus the kids were waiting for us to enjoy our time together. I was at rhe hotel to relax and enjoy. The bottom line they should find a better transparent way of Xpand package. This experience lack the trust for trying other activities. As I said and was reading layer other reviews they shared the same as scam feeling. Also the smell maybe because od the seaweed season. As for the safety, cleaning, maintenance, drinks, food and animation team everything was very good.
