Overall, our experience at Zel was very good. I will review based on areas of strength and weakness: Strengths - Very hospitable staff—always willing to help, go the extra mile, and do anything within their capability to improve your experience. Our concierge Rafael (Rafi) was definitely a standout to us. - Beautiful design, decor, and overall vibe. Zel very much encompasses a boho/Mediterranean vibe, and the feel of every space from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms themselves was very calming and aesthetically pleasing. - Incredible pools. The resort has multiple pools including a shallow one specifically for children, and the pools never felt crowded. They were also extremely clean and well-maintained. There were multiple different water features, whirlpools, and swim-up eating/lounging areas built in. There was a pool for everyone—the main pool had lots of events including poolside dancing, yoga, Pilates etc. and the pools to the side were much more calm and less populated for those wanting a more relaxed atmosphere. -

Spacious rooms and excellent for family of 5. Updated rooms and easy access to restaurants. Beach is 1 mile walk or golf card ride. Coffee bar is awesome! The buffet was not great- no enough options and food was mediocre. Beach party event they had was a lot of fun for the group! Concierge never contacted us. Overall fun time and comfortable!

Well, the room is big and the resort is beautiful with lots of trees. BUT.... - the food quality is below the average, often seeing the hair in the food, meat was not fully cooked and toast, harsh brown, pancake & waffle was overcooked - NO Front Desk, communicate with staff by using WhatsApp, lack of communication and no immediate attention on certain needs. Even with personal consierge services - Lack of training for the room services team. No replacement or refill for toilet paper, tissue box, shampoo and bodywash even when we indicated the change or refill needed.

Start to finish: check-in was a breeze, loved the wrist door key, crushed that there was NO elevator to top floor (selected for view,) luggage delivery was prompt, could have used some assistance or in-room instruction on what buttons operated what lights, stocked (daily!) mini-bar was great, spacious and well laid out suite, great shower water pressure and temperature control, decent space on bath vanity, handy sink at mini-bar coffee bar and convenient counter space, really good dining options and superb food choices and quality, ample drink locations and choices both within the hotel and beachside, pool amenities clean and children’s area fairly secluded from adult pools, service personnel were all helpful and kind and went out of their way to help, hotel manager was ever present and a joy to talk with. All in all: a great experience at Zel Punta Cana All Suites!

A very beautiful property for sure. We loved the room setup; separate bathroom and toilet. They had a cute sitting room and a separate sleeping area. The food options were diverse, we loved that they included Dominican foods! It being a festive period we were impressed by how they managed everything. We used their beautiful spa and we received excellent services. The manager was making rounds to make sure that everyone was okay. We will be back again!

This was my first experience at Zel Punta Cana, and overall it was a great stay with many positive highlights. The concierge team was excellent very informative and welcoming. My favorite staff members were Juan Gonzalez and Rafael, who truly stood out with their professionalism and kindness. I’d also like to recognize the woman who delivered room service(Daisy), as well as the bartenders and DJ, who were all great and added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The restaurants were very good, and the service was accommodating and pleasant. However, the food could be improved. I would love to see more variety in the menu, especially for room service, along with better availability. Food temperature should also be maintained warmer when served. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, though the cleaning service could definitely be improved for a better overall experience. Since this is a new hotel in Punta Cana, I believe there is room to elevate the level of service with additional training for some staff members. The one area that really needs attention is beach service. Unfortunately, I constantly had to get up to get my own drinks, as servers were rarely available or visible. Overall, Zel Punta Cana has great potential. With some improvements in food service, housekeeping, staff training, and beach service, this hotel could become an exceptional destination. I would still recommend it and look forward to seeing how it improves over time.

The beach club was phenomenal. Fabian’s service was exceptional! Him and Luis at Tacorini provided the best service we received during our entire stay. We felt welcomed instantly and felt like VIP guests. Their service was so incredible we returned the next day to be serviced by them again. They offered great recommendations from the menu and were charismatic and empathetic to our needs seeing that we were traveling with an infant. The food at these two locations were incredible! Better than the other restaurants in my opinion. Room service and the buffet had good flavors but everything was cold. Service during breakfast was slow and it took a while to be seated and receive condiments and coffee. The pools were decent and we appreciated the variety in seating. My biggest gripe aside from the cold food is the smoking. Nothing will ruin a meal quicker than smelling the rancid smell of cigarettes. Other parents were at the resort at the same time as us with children of similar ages (below 1 year old) and they were also upset about the smoking. To me that ruined the experience above all else. I don’t want my baby’s developing lungs to be exposed to that when we are embracing nature. Juan at reception was charismatic and welcoming. We needed ice to keep baby’s milk cold because the mini fridge was not cold enough and even lost 12 oz of expressed milk because we didn’t receive ice when requested a few nights. Absolutely heartbreaking. All in all, great for those looking to relax.
